Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

I remember when as a child I used to watch on TV cycling competitions… even though I’m not a big fan of this sport, I found this little museum interesting, it’s fantastic to see with your eyes the bicycles of champions such as Gino Bartali, Fausto Coppi, Francesco Moser and Marco Pantani!

It's a hard ride to get up here if you are on your bike; plenty of vertical climbing and the Lake is humid! But it is well worth it! The museum is awesome. Several floors of displays. Great new jersey selections at the front including some awesome Bianchi designed ones. Also some old school wool jerseys...
Th next level down had a display of all the Maglia Rosa jerseys that were worn by the Giro champions - all of the years!. Th bottom floor held a vast collection of old bikes including Moser's hour record bike as well as several Merkx bikes. Lierally hundreds of bikes. I did buy some headbands in the gift shop - all that I could carry!

We spent quite a while touring through the museum and enjoyed every minute. Lots of historical information from Army bicycles to current Tour bikes. There’s also a beautiful little church next door that’s dedicated to cyclists!

Having by chance stayed in Magreglio during my last visit to Italy, I ended up at Museo del Ciclismo only 800 meters from where we were staying. Even being a non-cyclist I loved the place and the adjacent chapel was catholic surrealistic - bikes in a chapel and a crucifix in a bicycle chain...

I stayed for over 90 minutes...

Museo del Ciclismo (museum of Cyclism, in English) is located close to the Santuario della Madonna del Ghisallo, in a mountain near Lago di Como, in the lakes region, in the North part of Italy. The museum is little, but here you can learn about the most important italian and foreigner cyclists, you can see some Maglias rosas (the T-shirt, that the winners of Giro de Italia wear), and some great historical photos of Giro de Italia. Also, from here you can see very beautiful views of surroundings. Very interesting and beautiful for cyclists-lovers. Moreover we arrived there the day that Giro de Italia come here. What a wonderdul coincidence! :-).

Chance upon this place. As i am a cyclist, found this place amazing. Now that i know there is a church and god for cyclist. Did not tour the museum as i am not a history person. It is a nice place for a drive or cycling.

Wonderful collection of cycling artifacts presented in a modern facility. I visited after riding up from Bellagio and the whole experience was fantastic for avid cyclists. Thoroughly recommended for anyone with any interest in cycling history. It does have an Italian bias but that is both understandable and valid. Just excellent.

Was in Bellagio with my wife and rented a road bike and rode up from town. It is like nothing I've ever seen. I hadn't really researched it, but knew of it. If you are a cyclist this is like nothing else in the world that I know of. A must see. Glad I went up on a whim. Nice ride up from town.

Combining this museum with a visit to the Madonna del Ghisallo made for a lovely day. And do not judge it based on the entrance alone. Once, inside it is quite impressive, especially if you follow cycling. There could have been more english translations of the displays, but there were enough to understand the subject matter.
