Located along the South Shore of Nova Scotia. Rissers Beach is situated outside the Town of Bridgewater. The sandy beach is open to the public. The park includes a trail and a boardwalk. Nice scenery. A small campground (tents and camper trailers) is also located...More

Totally worth the drive from Halifax. Beautiful sandy beach. The water was so warm and the waves were great. Can't wait to go back

Great beach, short walk to parking. I set my iPhone google maps and I got there without a hitch. Canteen had a pretty good selection, just make sure you have cash, no debit or credit. Washroom, showers were being kept clean by an efficient staff...More

What more is there to say? THE best beach on Nova Scotia, with the warmest water, lifeguards, a canteen, washrooms, showers, fine sand and good waves usually. There's also very few bugs and a provincial campground where you can camp practically right on the beach.
