We arrived on speculation, without any bookings and were surprised to find we could commence a tour, after a tasty lunch. The staff could not have been more helpful, particularly Kipp, a young personable student on a vacation job, who was knowledgeable and friendly. The museum, included in the tour price, was small but interesting and the shop was well stocked. The guided tour was comprehensive and took in all areas behind scenes and the added extra was that bikes were racing round as part of a private hire day. Perfect day not to be missed.

Well , had a incident last January,2019, my family was cut off and hit several times leading up to a incident , a female driver, under 18 , wouldn’t let us pass her, and she injured my wive and passenger, as she knocked them off the track. I got blame and staff did nothing, as over crowded track of 22 carts and selfish drivers
Turn up 4 January 2020 to hear we are banned. Well I was not informed any time in the last year , asked for manager , he took 40 minutes to come , and then put us down and not believe our story, saying we abused staff regularly. Cheap shot from manager defending is poorly run track , won’t take my friends again here , see Phillip islands sites , don’t both going here

Phillip Island Go Karts are fantastic fun. On a scale replica of the GP track, the karts get up to speeds of 65kph (if you’re game). Your lap times are emailed to you after each session so you can keep track of your progress and compare them with those of friends and family. The karts are easy to drive for those 12 and over. For under 12s, tandem karts are available so an adult can drive and child go along for the ride.
While not cheap ($35 for a 10 minutes session, of $60 for a double session - 2x10 minute sessions) I think they are good value. And there’s a loyalty program which gets you a free double session after ten visits.
I highly recommend this as a must do activity.

I had the very best experience at Phillip Island ride days including hiring one of their brand new BMW S1000rr. The facility, organisation, customer care and equipment was world class. I had an accident and low sided one of their beautiful machines in turn 4. They quickly made it possible for me to get out on an other bike and were extremely fair when it came to rectifying the damage I did to their bike.
They are offering us the opportunity to ride one of the best bikes on one of the best tracks with no hassle or fuss.
I highly recommend PI ride days.

Travelled to Phillip Island with our teenagers and arrived at the track with no expectations but to have a look around. We ended up doing the go carts and everyone loved it. Great family outing and no overly priced. Each of us had our own cart and were able to race each other around a track built to scale as the main bike track. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Held on the Labor Day long weekend in March the Phillip Island Classic provides a showcase for some of the best historic vehicles in Australia. Beautiful Phillip Island provides the perfect backdrop for the event. Even if you know very little about cars you can still appreciate the aesthetics of these well maintained vehicle and the event provides a perfect chance for lovers of historic vehicles to meet up and pit their cars against others.

This was our second visit to the circuit after a supercar round in 2016. The track hasn't changed and with less crowds the viewing options were perfect and we ended up walking the whole circuit over the three days we visited. It is a fair walk & the weather was warm for Victoria! But well worth it to get great views of the different challenges of the track. The festival was put on by the Victorian Historical Racing Register and they & the volunteers put on a magnificent program! We watched 48 out of 50 races over the three days & loved every minute. Being able to park your car trackside & watch the action being a big bonus as not many tracks in Oz do that! The car clubs & vehicle displays were also a great attraction and the racing exciting. Aldo De Paoli in his 69 Chevy Camaro was a real crowd pleaser going sideways out of turn 12 onto pit straight!!! Real touring car fireworks! We have already booked our accommodation for 2023!

I thought it would be hard to top last years Classic, but I was wrong! What was scheduled to be 52 races over 3 days lost a couple after some heavy crashes delayed the events. But luckily no injuries but some sad looking cars! The historic categories cover all eras of Motorsport and fans get to see cars you have never experienced before on a daily basis. The highlights for me are the Group Nc Production Touring cars, Group A & C Tourers and even the Regularity class! Another plus was the 6 Formula 1 race cars which showed their speed & noise down Gardner Straight!! The car displays, ability to get up close in the pits & the whole set up is a great day(s) enjoying real motorsport. The actual highlight for me was bumping into Aldo De Paoli & his awesome 69 Chev Camaro as he and his mechanics worked on it between races. Aldo took time out to discuss & explain things to some happy petrol heads and we were already fans after his display in last years Classic! Ignore the Committee Aldo & keep that tail waging, the fans love it!!! Also Ian Tate OAM & his dedicated team deserve a big thank you! Can't wait till 2024!

Unfortunately our number one planned item for a day trip to Phillip Is was the go-karts which for weeks had advertised 'turn up and drive' only to discover they were fully booked. The attendant advised the procedure had changed multiple times of late even though I mentioned I had visited their website nearly daily. I was offered to book for 2 days later, certainly convenient if your travel time is 2+ hours each way.
Misleading signage also on the 'free visitor centre and cafe' which definitely does not include the museum.
Very poor compared to experiences available at Bathurst and Adelaide's Pit Lane.

Hi, This is our first visit to Phillip Island and would value some advise. We have sorted travel and accommodation, coming all the way from UK for MOTO GP on 28th Oct 2019. So, 1st where is the best place to view racing for seating and in open, 2nd are there chairs available to buy for when viewing in the open, 3rd do we need light jacket as heard it can be windy. Thats it (for now anyways) Thanks Pauline and John Burdsall

Hi, we went for the 1st time last year for the MotoGP, and it absolutely awesome...... 1st off there is no bad place to view in the open..... we took the Friday to wander round and chose our spot at Doohans. On a slight hill and a view of a large screen ..... also with views of 4 corners in the distance..... yep its windy and yep you will get rain..... take layers and a light waterproof..... we picked up cheap rain covers at the wildlife park on the island (cheap...$4 each..... worth visiting whilst you are there)..... you will have the time of your life...... we are going back this year.... any more questions please ask:-)

Hi,
I am looking to visit the Motogp at Phillip Island this year - having read your post how did you book the inside of the track at Turn 4?
Would it be possible to let me have the details?
We will be there for the 3 full days of the races - afterwards we will visit Sepang for the Motogp (if you have any information regarding Sepang this would also be appreciated)
Thanks
Rich

We were there for the hot rod show, so everyone was allowed to the inner area. So I cant answer your question. Sorry. The track is open every day for visitors, you could probably ring them.
