This beach is really about surfing, plain and simple. We stopped on a driving tour in November for about 30 minutes and saw some amazing surfing on 5-7 foot waves. It is my understanding that this beach can be anywhere from glass to 30+ foot surf depending upon the time of the year. It is a legendary surf area where... More

Free attraction that has lifeguards on duty. Keep in mind that if the waves are too strong, they prohibit swimming. But it worth it to watch the waves! On site restrooms and outside shower to rinse off the sand. Limited parking.

This is a great beach to visit in the winter months if you want to see some huge waves and only the best of the best surfers are out there. If you happen to come during the summer months you will be able to swim here

If you are on the North Shore, it would be Crazy not to pull up a beach towel and watch the surfing action. If you are fearless(and Crazy) by all means, bring your board, and give us people watching, something to talk about! It was great!

One always hears about the North Shore and the Banzai Pipeline. This was a great opportunity to see it in person. Parking difficult but worth finding parking and seeing the spectacle. Cheap T shirts on the beach.

We were thrilled today to see sets of 20-30-foot waves rolling in every so often. It's thrilling to watch the guys and gals on surfboards and boogie boards, dancing along on the waves. This is very dangerous territory, the average person cannot even swim in this treacherous surf, but those who know what they are doing make it look effortless.... More

I've tried surfing, it's not easy. These guys make it look easy and that's why they are some of the best in the world. Cool to just plop down in the sand and just watch.

After seeing the Pipeline for years on TV, it was great to see it in person. The day we visited the waves were somewhat flat at about 5-6 feet. Check out the plaque with the names of the winners. There is also 2 other plaques with the names of those killed while surfing there as well as lifeguards. A good... More

This place blew us away! We couldn't believe the massive 15ft waves we were seeing front of us. We sat and watched the local surfers catching these phenomenal waves. Our guide said these waves can reach up to 70+ ft . You have to see these I person to really appreciate the size of these waves. Photos and film do... More

My fiancé and I hired a car from our hotel and drove to Pipeline from Waikiki, i couldn't give you an exact time but I'm guessing it took about 45 mins, we stopped at different locations along the way. The roads to get there were really nice and it was quite easy to find with the help of our gps.... More
