We arrived early and there were already plenty of surfers in the water. Settled on the beach and enjoying watching the surfing for about an hour. There was plenty of parking early. The surf was quite rough and watched many successful surfing attempts as well as wipeouts. This is definitely not a place for the "average person" to get in... More

We were there at the start of the final part of the Triple Crown. We had 4 days on the north shore to see the competition and big waves but unfortunately it was cancelled on the 3 days we were planning to be there. We did see some surfers out trying to catch a few medium size waves. There were... More

We went solely to watch some big wave surfers. The surf was 5' - 8' the day we were there. The competition level is usually 10'+. To get the true pipeline, I was told it had to be at least 10'. We still saw some impressive, crazy waves. Several surfers were hitting the waves, many just sat on their boards.... More

We visited while the Pipe masters competition was going on, we had an AWESOME time! Decided t do a north shore drive and just stumbled across the beach. Very glad we did! Beautiful views and great spot to watch Surfers. Admission into the event was free as well!

Great place to come to take photos and a good stop off on the North shore. Beautiful views in this area and a nice place to stop as you head west.

Great fun to come and watch the surfers performing their moves, and so close to shore too, gives you some great inspiration to get out and do it yourself! Great sand too especially for our 4 year old to play in.

This is a well known place for surfers around the world. Huge waves and lots of action to watch for. There is a parking lot for easy access.

What a fabulous, free event full of excitement! Crowds: local and tourist with great food. Just over all coolness, through and through! Sitting on the beach, watching surfing with a crowd of people in a famous park was an incredibly memorable experience. About 7K people but, plenty of space, barely any parking but, worth the time and traffic.

We love coming here. We usually go to Hawaii at the start of December when they have one of their competitions. This year the day we went the comp was off as the waves weren't big enough (too bad). But even still you are able to sit and watch the surfers do their thing. It is so fun to watch... More
