Start from Valldemossa as better marked and all paths open and fairly clear. Easier than expected especially descent into Deia is not scary nor too steep. Varied scenery and lots of shady paths. Went all the way to Pollensa. Refuges are very clean. Very good...More

The GR221 is beautiful but a word of warning - think carefully when planning your route. The stages differ significantly and are generally steep hikes up and down taking much longer than you might initially think. I carried a 10KG backpack and hiked 40 miles...More

My friend and I hiked the GR221 this week all the way from Andratx to Pollensa. We stopped in Estellencs, Valdemossa, Soller and Lluc, covering the route over 5 days. It was tough going but we're both endurance athletes and it felt OK. We had...More

Nice stone and dirt tracks most of the time. Very well marked, never in doubt where to go. Very good refuges with good food, (breakfast and dinner), and friendly staff. Will definitely recommend it.
