A group of us went in here on a Saturday night and were surprised how quiet it was. The concept of bringing your own beer on the premises and selling it at a reasonable price it is a good one to me. Unfortunately, the upstairs stairs bar itself have very little atmosphere and this could be the reason it wasn’t busy.

Maybe some music would help?

That said, we had a great time. In a way, it was actually nice to be able to go into a pub where you could hear each other speak!

As expected, they have a great range of beers and they are not expensive. In addition to this, they have good range of other drinks and the bar staff are very knowledgeable and advise you accordingly.

Great place for a weekend afternoon. Superb cask beers some of the best ive drank in the North West, good craft beers and a load of artisan spirits. The bar staff are absolutely brilliant, welcoming, knowledgeable, chatty and all presented immaculately like in high class restaurants & bars. Best place around for miles in my opinion. Brewery can be seen through the downstairs windows and the upstairs is modern and fresh with a very cool vibe. Loads of outdoor space too. On our visit we stayed a good few hours and ended up sat outside later on. The shelter is heated and has fairy lights which my other half appreciated more than me but really pleasant on a cool evening. I have never reviewed anything but gone to a special effort to rate this place as these guys deserve my praise. Go, just go!!

This is a place we don't visit that often as it is not that close to us. Whenever we do though we have a brilliant time and this latest visit was no different this time.

A group of 10 of us met there early on a Saturday evening and had a great time. The place was ticking over nicely, but we still managed to get Tables together which helped with the conversation and so on.

The service is fast, friendly and very professional. They serve all their own beers and you have vast variety to choose from. It's one of my favourite breweries as well which helps and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

It's location, means there's lots of free parking around there and it's attracts a mature crowd and gives a great Atmosphere.

This has to be THE best brewery bar around. Great beers, great service, friendly staff and even the pies are good. There's always been really nice atmosphere in this place whenever I've been. The outdoor area has been a bonus in the Covid pandemic too

Came for a drink for the first time since lock down. They’ve completely revamped the garden and it’s looking great with lots of space. Staff are brilliant. Good selection of beers. Can’t wait to return!

Called for a couple of beers on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The beer selection is good, service was quick but only because the place was virtually empty. I would go back but there's a lot of other good places around to choose from.

Well hidden, a bar above its brewery, excellent real ale's, ciders and Stouts to consume, we shared a Ploughmans which was good, if flat warm toast and pate' was included it would have been excellent, friendly staff, reasonable prices and good atmosphere
Best real ale establishment in Horwich and theres a few now to choose from, pick this one.

Unassuming venue above the Black edge Brewery. 12 beers and 4 ciders on tap. Comfy settees and a relaxing atmosphere. Most beers about £2.80 a pint.
