    Great Experience
My husband and I took our 3 year old twin grandsons for a first visit. We really enjoyed it. The staff were brilliant and really helpful. It was nice to sit in the cafe and watch the Alpacas in the fields and then we booked a meet and greet session. Because the boys were young the staff bought just a few into the barn and they were very well behaved as were the alpacas. Seriously we were given scoops of food and the alpacas acted as if they had never been fed, even the boys were able to feed them with help. When we had finished feeding them we were shown last year’s babies. They were so cute and their eye lashes were so long. When we had seen the babies we were told we could see some lambs as well which had been born this year. After all the excitement we went back to the cafe and had a very nice lunch. The boys loved it and so did we. It wasn’t expensive at all and you are not pushed into anything you don’t want to. We will certainly go again, perhaps do a trek as well as meet and greet. It is a very good visit for all ages

    Fabulous alpaca experience
A family trek for my daughter’s 22nd birthday. We had such a great experience! The alpacas are amazing animals and it’ll we all enjoyed taking them on a trek and feeding them. We learned such a lot about them and our guides were really knowledgeable. They’re all well cared for and looked after. Each one has their own personality! A trip to the cafe after is highly recommended! Great cakes and good food whilst watching the alpacas from the window. It was also lambing season so we visited the cute little lambs too. We’ll definitely be back for another visit soon!

    Amazing experience. Highly recommend!
Absolutely loved taking the alpacas for a walk- definitely recommend booking to do the tour! Me and my boyfriend went and it was such a laugh. Due to the weather it was very muddy so make sure you wear the correct footwear- hiking boots or wellies! The staff were very friendly and really knowledgeable. We went for a weekend away and I would come back in a heart beat if we visit this area again!

Sunny afternoon trek with fluffy friends
Lovely way to spend a sunny bank holiday afternoon. Did the alpaca trek with my nieces led by Jess, who knowledgeably shared facts along the way. Following the trek had lunch in the cafe wish we'd have booked the afternoon tea, but as you get to watch the alpacas whilst you eat, it's a great excuse to go back again. Would definitely recommend especially the trail & woodland walk if you've got little ones.

    A wonderful afternoon experience 🦙🦙
A great couple of hours spent at JandJ Alpacas today! 🦙 We started the afternoon with a lunch in the cute little cafe overlooking the Alpaca paddocks. Tuna melt panini’s with a selection of irresistible cakes 🍰 the cafe staff were lovely and it was great to hear all the professional Alpaca chat from the table next to us 🤭. We paid £5 each for a meet and greet next. The lady who hosted this was so knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. she gave us a scoop and filled it with food for the young Alpacas we were lucky enough to meet. It’s in incredible how she remembers all the names! The Alpacas are amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.🦙🦙🦙

    Highly recommend
I took my mum as a present & as something different & memorable to do. We both absolutely loved it. We did the meet & greet & fed the alpacas who were just gorgeous. Then we walked around the paddocks at our own pace. And finished off with an amazing afternoon tea overlooking the alpacas. It’s a brilliant set up, friendly staff & great value for money. Would highly recommend.

    Top Tier Alpac'ing
JandJ Alpaca farm is a lovely experience. I went with my partner for the "Meet & Greet" option where we got to feed the alpaca's and hang around with them for 20 minutes. Parking isn't great if it's busy as it's a small space but otherwise it's a great place for adults or children. The cafe is clean and modern with a nice but small shop of alpaca goods. The staff were friendly and knowledgable. Overall a really positive and enjoyable experience.

    Wonderful experience
The owners were so friendly and the cafe served wonderful coffee. Most importantly of course was our experience feeding the Alpacas, it was wonderful, it was one of the nicest things i have ever done and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone, young, old and in between. you feed them from scoops and if you are lucky they will let you stroke their necks, but even if you can't to be so close to these beautiful animals is an experience I would thoroughly recommend. loved every moment.

Joyful, gentle walk with beautiful calming creatures.
Gentle, therapeutic walk with ‘our’ lovely alpaca Flint. My teenage granddaughter was over the moon to be able to have close contact with Flint. Our guide, Jess, was reassuring, funny and a source of immense alpaca knowledge!

What a lovely experience it was to walk the Alpacas... would highly recommend.
Myself, partner and our 3 children visited mid week and took 3 of the boys on a short trekking experience lasting around an hour.
We met our guide, who was brilliant from start to end, and after a safety briefing set out on a gentle walk. The Alpacas were very well behaved (they do enjoy stopping for grass snacks so you need to be patient with them) but during our little stops, our guide answered questions and gave us plenty of information about the herd and Alpacas in general.
After our walk, we visited the cafe. Delicious cakes and the Alpaca biscuits went down well with the kids.
The farm and Alpacas are well cared for and you can tell they are well loved by the staff.

We booked for four of us to feed the Alpacas and wander around the paddocks etc, we were greeted by Olivia, who obviously loves her job and was more than happy to answer all of our questions, she is a real credit to the owners.

Don't be too worried about the spitting as they only tend to spit at each other and you may get caught in the crossfire and it is not that bad. we finished the visit off in the onsite Cafe, great snacks and cake and a selection of hot and cold drinks at very reasonable prices.

We will be back.

We went for the alpaca walking experience which was amazing value for money at £25 each. We were all perfectly matched with the alpacas and taken on a hour long walk by the lovely Jess and Jack. Throughout the walk we were given lots of information about alpacas and about the farm and had the opportunity to feed the alpacas. All of them were so sweet with their own personalities which we got to learn about, and if we were struggling with our alpaca pulling or being too interested in food (or the ladies!), we got help straight away from one of the volunteers on how to keep our alpaca moving (eg moving to the front of the herd). They took plenty of pictures of everyone which are posted on their Facebook a week later. We also got free entry to look around the alpacas afterwards and see the new llamas too. The cafe was really great too with amazing cake - we even got to watch the babies and mums being fed out the window. I’ll definitely be returning at some point and have been telling everyone I know how much I enjoyed the day.

I received a £20 voucher for my birthday for this wonderful place that we've been meaning to visit for so long! Was pleased to find that we (2 adults and 1 child) could do both the woodland walk and the meet and greet experience for £22 so great value! The meet and greet was by far the best bit, 20 minutes felt like just the right amount of time to get up close to the alpacas who clearly have such great characters. Shout out to Jess who lead our experience who was very friendly and knowledgeable (give that lady a brownie)! Speaking of brownies, whilst we didn't stay for refreshments there was a huge selection of treats on offer and I spied some nice looking vegan cakes which I will definitely try when we come back, no doubt it will be soon! Thanks again!

A lovely place, and very welcoming. This was a little £5 voucher/birthday gift for a couple of friends to ' meet & greet' the alpacas. Brilliant value. We learnt a huge amount about them, got to know a few names, characters and did lots of feeding them. All managed perfectly, and well organized. Then, of course, a birthday treat lunch. Again, all clean and well organized, with delicious 'lunch' type meals. The cakes looked fabulous although none of us tried them.
All in all a really great 2/3 hours .. and ... we avoided the rain by only minutes !!!
Not a huge cafe, although there are outside tables and chairs, you might want to allow a few minutes for a table to come free at busier times. Ample car parking.

This is our third visit to the J&J Alpaca Centre and each time we've learnt something new about these cute fury creatures from the very knowledgable and informative guide Lucy. It's a delight to visit the centre as it's very clean, the animals are extremely well looked after and obviously well loved - there's a definite pride amongst the staff! Would highly recommend either for children or animal loving adults. The food in the cafe is lovely and the outside seating area gives you a great view of the paddock.

Called in For coffee and a cake on a lovely sunny autumn day. Really really enjoyed the whole ambience of sitting watching the gorgeous alpacas and their young. Young people serving were all friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy working here. Nice quality ingredients. Various things to do here as well as just coffee, there are experiences including walking with the alpacas, a lovely and largely educational place, great

I was gifted a voucher for an alpaca trekking experience at this farm. I used it yesterday and it was the best thing I've done in ages!!! There were 5 of us on our walk, and we were each given the reins of an alpaca. Mine was called Flint. The guide was very knowledgeable, happy to share her knowledge, and very happy to answer questions. The alpacas were obviously used to walking with humans. We walked around the paths between the fields where they grazed, and around the pond meadow. We even got to feed them - alpacas don't need any encouragement to eat!!! It was a wonderful experience, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to get up close and personal with an alpaca!

Had a brilliant day, it was a pre wedding day out for my niece, easy to book online, easy website to use, lots of options from just sitting in the cafe or outside sitting area watching the alpacas to experiences meet and greet or trekking experience. We did the Trekking Experience, great value, given an introduction about alpacas, then given our individual alpaca, out and about with the alpacas for approximately an hour and half, during the walk information given about alpacas and stopped to feed them half way through the walk. plenty of time for photographs before and after.
We then had afternoon tea ( has to be pre booked 24 hours before), the staff had decorated the table, banners etc to make it special. All the staff excellent.
Highly recommend, had a great day.

What a great experience!! Had an amazing few hours here meeting the Alpacas and watching them roam around.

We did the trek experience and I would 1000% recommend it, it was great to spend time getting to know our alpacas as well as being able to feed them and walk them through the woods. Well worth the price.

We then stayed to have a bite to eat and drink whilst watching the other alpacas interact, we were even able to watch them during feeding time. Food was great and very reasonably priced.

You have to get down here, lovely people and a wonderful experience!
