Great position on an island on Lake Burley Griffin connected to the car park by a short footbridge. Good view of the fountain when it is operating. When the carillion is playing the sounds are lovely.

We make sure to walk around the Carillon every time we visit Canberra. Its peaceful and tranquil. Be sure to go first thing in the morning. There is a good coffee van right there with a few tables and chairs.

Walking alongside Lake Burley Griffin is a fantastic way to spend a day - the Carillion is wonderful - the music echoes across the lake and you just have to sit and listen - for up to an hour
