Have visited this rail museum on a number of previous occasions but on this visit was dismayed to find that it has closed its doors and is not operating for the foreseeable future. Unfortunate.

Visited the Museum recently, found the lady at entrance a great source of information, still a lot of work to be done on some of the rolling stock.

The Australian Rail Historical Society runs a range of rail trips from Canberra using a vintage rail motor, steam of various sorts and the occassional diesel. The short trip from the Rail Museum to Fyshwick and back is brilliant for the kids.
