I visited by accident, meetings colleagues in the cafe for a meeting but having an hour to spare afterwards. What a surprising and great collection of Sidney Nolan's works - if you like Australian art this is worth dropping in for. The staff were very friendly, full of suggestions for my time in Canberra, and the exhibition about the evolution... More

The collages that illustrate children's author Jeannie Baker's books has fascinated me for years. The original collages for her latest book, Circle are on display in the gallery. It is a rare opportunity to appreciate the skill, attention to detail and artistic ability of this multi award winning author and artist

The Canberra Gallery is a great place to spend and hour or two. Their kids corner is cute and they offer a great variety of exhibitions.

A quirky mix of exhibitions, worth a look for the giant ballot paper at the entry. You get a feeling that this apparently artificial city is a real place.

Dropped in to have a look at the Sidney Nolan exhibition. It was a little disappointing (most of the Kelly series is on display in the National gallery across the lake and it is really worth a visit). The Gallery has free entry and is centrally located in the CBD so is worth calling in as part of a general... More

For those who love their steel frame bikes, there is a wonderful display of beautiful kept bikes from the collection of Peter Taylor.

We happened to notice it as we walked around, and with time to spare before our coffee appointment, dropped in. The particular display that caught my attention was the Denman collection (early 1900's). My knowledge of Australian history is somewhat rudimentary, but the display brought those years to life and left me feeling much more knowledgeable about how the country... More

A fascinating collection of priceless ancient and antique objects, very well presented, interpreted and easy to view. Well worth the cost of the visit.
