This place has something for everyone. Nice places for eating, relaxing. Wine tasting and great place for nice walks and picnics. Wish I had more time to go in the lovely boutique shops!!!

Amazing wine country, many different options in wineries. Hire a car and do it your self, or take friends in a bus. Many accommodation options.

Many many vineyards offering free wine tasting. There's cheese, chocolate and jam factories within the estate too. Kangaroos can be spotted in the grassland. And one was "waiting" for us in the centre of the road when we drove uphill and hopped away gracefully as...More

Take the tourist road from Sydney and meander through quiet country side. Small historic villages along the way and wine tasting. It gets quite developed as you travel east after Broke. Tinkle wood was a special visit with wandering chickens and nice wine. Very organic...More

I visited the Hunter Valley as part of my daughter in law to be's hens weekend. I hasn't been for many years and was delighted at the standard of the wineries, the general atmosphere and the accommodation choices. I will be keen to return!

We love visiting Hunter Valley. Just about 90mins drive from Sydney. We enjoyed looking at the different stalls in the weekend markets. We ended up buying a few jars of homemade jam, some lovely natural soap bars, honey, homemade sourdough bread, wood baked pizza, etc....More

We had an excellent day trip to the Hunter Valley. The HVG Gardens are to centre tourist attraction in the area. The entire area is set up for weddings and reception events.

There are so many different directions you can go and still keep on discovering this great area of NSW. We had not been on the new highway and decided to go try it. A great drive and a lot faster then the old way. We...More

We made a brief stop to buy sparkling wine at Peterson's and decided to visit the restaurant. Luckily there was a table available, otherwise we would never have had such a delicious and unforgettable meal - one of our culinary highlights in Australia! Despite a...More
