Great place , stunning caves well worth a visit. Serene and beautiful setting, a place to go to get away from the busy life. Absolutely fantastic.

We stopped in at Wombeyan Caves at Easter; probably not the best time for a visit if you have an aversion to crowds. Still, the inherent natural beauty of the location seemed barely affected by all the visitors, mainly campers. The camping facilities looked reasonably good, too. So, lots of happy campers. We were there on a day trip so... More

We visited over the Easter break camping with the kids. It was very full and busy but we found a beautiful camping spot with a camp fire. The camping area and facilities have not changed in the last 40 years since I have been visiting. There is a communal kitchen with microwave and kettle and BBQ's and a few shower/toilet... More

It was a long drive down an unsealed road that was not in the best condition to the caves. When we arrived (at 11.55am) the guide was less than enthusiastic and said the next tour was scheduled at 1.00 but would only happen if there were at least 4 people, but there was a self-guided tour available. We opted to... More

The guided tour is well worth the money. The Wollondilly Cave tour took the advertsied 1.5 hours and we weren't rushed. The section known as the Paddy Fields is unlike anything I've seen in a cave tour before, and it alone made this worthwhile - truely stunning. We did the self-guided tour of Figtree Cave one day, and the guided... More

Came for the weekend, was a fantastic time exploring the caves with a great guide - Lorrie made our tours interesting and funny Accomodation was pretty good, unfortunately our stove didn't work but we made do with the BBQ. Swimming at the Gorge was definitely the best part of my trip, well worth the hike!!

Me and my girlfriend decided to stay at Wombeyan caves in a cabin for the weekend it was better then I expected ! The cabins were small but well worth the price. The tour guides were really nice and helpful and were able to answer all our questions. The caves were beautiful and the walks through the wilderness were amazing... More

Lovely spacious grounds. Heaps of kangaroos, goannas and birds. Kiosk available main hours. Bathrooms and toilets were grubby with no sign of them being cleaned on our 3 day visit. Kitchen building was stylish outside with potentially great facilities. Unfortunately again quite grubby and in some cases disgusting. ie toaster. Dried creek bed had rubbish in it as did camp... This Conservation reserve is a bit out of the way, about 25km off the main rd, but it was brilliant. The campground is huge and has multiple fire pits, there's a large camp kitchen and dining hall, the kitchen has a fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, kettle, toaster and power points for charging essential items, there is a sink out the back... In Sept '16 we (family of 4) camped at Wombeyan caves during the school holidays. We purchased the 3 cave pass, on our first Cave tour we met Laurie, who immediately made our 7 year old daughter feel welcome, Abby usually is very standoffish with new people. Laurie is a is a very knowledgeable tour guide and is very easy... More
