We got tickets for the Sydney National Orchestra concert and sat in the choir seats behind the orchestra. This was interesting as we could watch the musicians and conductor close up. Quite an experience to hear the acoustics in this wonderful hall.

The opera house is impressive even if you don't take a tour.. Easy to walk around and next to the Gardens. Better photo views are from the water or from the walkway that adjoins the Garden. when we were there, they were setting up for...More

Beautiful landmark on the harbour. You can walk right up to the Opera House and it's a great spot for photos. Eateries below the walkway can be expensive but the view is worth it! If you visit in June, Vivid Sydney is free and the...More

It would have been wonderful to hear an Opera but we settled for a guided tour. It was unforgettable seeing the inside of this fabulous Opera House. Our guide was very good and we really enjoyed our visit.

After the end our cruise, we stayed two addition nights in this very impressive city, and one of the highlights was a guided tour of this iconic opera house. It just so happened we were scheduled to fly out late Easter Sunday. We were pleased...More

Started my stay in Sydney with a walk through park blocks from my hotel. While there are plenty of tourists, the space it occupies is enormous and I never felt crowded. There are ample benches by the water to just relax and take it all...More

We decided to do the backstage tour on recommendation and were so glad that we did. Do book well in advance if you can as there are only 12 places per tour, although I believe they will have more than 1 group running if there...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
