Recently enjoyed a few days at Bondi Beach. Great safe beach, thanks to all the lovely lifeguards. Lovely area to walk, swim & have a meal. My son got to meet quite a few of the lifeguards ( Bondi Rescue fan) which he loved.

Spent three nights in an Airbnb. Walked everywhere. Beach was great. Felt very safe. Would be great if the locals put some time into their neighbourhood (cleaning up bins, rubbish on side of roads, mowed nature strips).

The famous Bondi Beach - used to be the hang-out for sun-lovers, surfers and families to have their picnic. Now it is simply an overcrowded piece of sand with the smell of sewerage gently wafting up from the waves

I don't know when the calmest conditions are but my girls swam in mid June (which is their winter) and they didn't think it was cold.
