I regularly walk around the Botanical Gardens on my lunchtime and it is so beautiful and peaceful. If you're lucky you will get to see some marine life and birds.

Huge park in the middle of Sydney. It combines large open spaces and a wonderful botanic garden. Close to the Opera House, Galleries and the CBD. Well worth a visit.

The gardens are stunning at any time but as the backdrop for a wedding just amazing. Abundant sub tropical vegetation, native trees and shrubs plus introduced species.Lots of information about the garden everywhere, a fantastic restaurant and good kiosk/cafe for less money.

Beautiful gardens within 10 min walk from the CBD. The whole park is amazing, with clear walkways, views over the harbour, opera house and bridge. Plenty of seats, shade and a good café in the grounds.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
