Coogee Bay Beach is great. Lots of space, food places everywhere, the tidal pool off to the left end, life guards galore and the eye candy gets risque after three p.m. Super easy on the eye.

Coogee has its own style and lots of British and New Zealand accents, its more family friendly than Bondi its more famous cousin, but it is easier to park and has great eats within walking distance, above all I like its small town feel even...More

We walked from Bronte to here. Took around 45 minutes. Being from NZ I was a bit shocked at the amount of litter and the lack of upkeep of the beach. Nice beach for Sydney.

This is one of those places which you should go to if you want the local feel. A lot of locals prefer this beach to tourist beaches such as bondi and manly

Beaches will have sea weed from time to time but it kind of ruins the fun of the day when it's constantly rubbing off your legs! Some great waves and it's really clean considering the thousands of people who go there each day.

Get down to the rockpool at the northen end and enjoy the calm of a semi-natural rock pool, crabs and all. The main beach is brilliant for surfing / body surfing. The surrounding grass area is always busy with people enjoying the sun and a...More

Coogee Beach is an Eastern Suburbs beach in Sydney. The location is ok but nothing special. No comparison to Manly Beach. The beach is not particularly large, can be dangerous to swim in and suffers from chronic parking issues. The surrounding shops and hotels offer...More

A small beautiful very protected protected beach ideal for tanning swimming. Has two rock pools, 3 beach volleyball courts and good facilities, many cafes and restaurants. Good place to go if you want to avoid the hordes at Bondi.

Great beach, with grassy area that have grills. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby to eat or get drinks.

We did this as a part of our Bondi Coogee Walk. The beach offers amazing views. The walk can be slightly tiring on a sunny day.

Very accessible by public transport, Coogee is the
smaller, friendlier, more intimate version of Bondi
Beach. Coogee is the only beach in the Eastern suburbs
that does not have big waves, making it an excellent
family beach. The Coogee Bay Hotel, located right
across the beach, has one of the biggest beer gardens
in Australia and plenty of entertainment every night
of the week. Be on the lookout for celebrity

It's like the Oyster card in London, a card that you can top up with money and use on the public transport. Can be topped up at newsagents and stations.
