It is a bit of a drive and you will need to enter the National Park. However well worth the drive, choose a sunny weekday as it will be less crowded, take drink and food as no other options.

West Head is absolutely worth the drive (or cycle from Terrey Hills), with super spectacular scenery, landscapes and serenity.

It's not that this stretch of coast line is signficantly different than other amazing views all over the Sydney and Northern Beaches area. But, it's isolated and you can see the Central Coast as well as the Barrenjoey Lighthouse from Palm Beach so it does...More
Do yourself a favour and make the journey out to West Head to take in the views through the headland of Broken Bay out to sea, across to Lion Island, down Pittwater and up into the start of the Hawkesbury River.

One of the best coastal views around......across to Palm Beach, and the Central Coast. Spectacular.....though you do need to organise transport to get there......be careful of our kangaroos along the way.
