Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a disaster. Felt like the massage involved someone moving a banana leaf on me. They're not cheap either. Plus they try and hustle you to pay an Eftpos fee. I tried to leave and they gave me the "cash price"

I gotthe 1.5 massage and I can say that the service os is terrible. Definitely not worth of your time and money. I agree with the feedback of others here that most of the time the staff keeps om chatting. The lady who did my massage seems to be bored on what she is doing. I've asked her to increase the massage pressure but it seems all she knows is to apply finger pressure. She just let the 1.5 hour roll by. I got upset and just waited to let the alloted time finish. I don't recommend this place and will not go back.

The staffs keep chatting during the whole massage which disturbs the whole experience. And the staff who massage me had gone out in the middle of the massage to welcome another customer, and suddenly change to a male staff to give me massage without noticing me that I felt being disrespected. I do believe with this price you can get a better service at other places.

I don't think I've been as disappointed in a massage as I did today.
From the staff walking in to my massage room to plug in power leads and have conversation with the therapist while I'm laying on the table.
The massage was also disappointing after paying the daily special of $69 for 1 hour aromatherapy massage and only part of my body that saw oil was my back. I complained at the end and was offered an extra 20mins.
I would think twice about booking a massage here!!

I had booked a 60 minute massage with a voucher from Living Social. I booked for 5:30 and my massage started 15 minutes late and finished 5 minutes early. Masseuse stopped three times to take phone calls. One time she stopped massaging and stood there talking on the phone for five minutes. I paid for a 60 minute massage and probably received about 20 minutes of proper massage all up. She was also texting a lot during the massage so she would only use one hand. Poor service, not relaxing at all. The massage tables are set up in tiny rooms separated by a flimsy curtain so you can see the person next to you getting massaged while you’re getting changed.

The customer service is terrible and the place is very small and noisy. I could hear everything that was happening outside. But my biggest problem is the massage itself. I was facing flat on my tummy and the lady was massaging my legs, but it wasnt with effort. It seemed like she was using one hand, just rubbing my leg up and down for at least 10min. So i looked up and saw her checking her phone with another hand....

It was our first experience with a professional massage. My boyfriend and I went in very enthusiastic and excited. However, that enthusiasm soon faded. The person who massaged me was okay, however the person who massaged my parter messed up the order. It was a simple order - a foot massage and Thai massage. Being our first massage we didn't know what to expect, but figured out something was wrong when they only gave a foot massage to my parter - which wasn't what we ordered or paid for. When we realised we had received two different types of massages, I spoke up and said this wasn't what we ordered. They were rude, tried to make us pay more, and I stood my ground because it wasn't our fault they made a mistake. We ended up settling for a 15 minute Thai massage which was free. Despite the poor communication, it seemed okay..until my parter walked out afterward looking absolutely mortified. He didn't even want to stay in the place to put his shoes back on, he just wanted to leave. When we were outside, I asked what was wrong, and the guy who massaged him (the one who messed up) clearly held some resentment about the miscommunication because he walked on my partner's back so hard he bruised heavily. My boyfriend is a lean guy with a good threshold for pain but this was just ridiculous and very, very upsetting. Don't go here.
