My husband and I had a beautiful day on Sydney harbor small luxury tour with Lunch. I booked this through viator. We were treated to a delicious lunch of steak and salmon. Tracy Cole was the hostess and josh was the captain. They couldn't have been nicer. They were informative, friendly and just plain lovely. We had the boat practically... More

There is one important thing that you MUST KNOW before going on this cruise (and from what I've seen, the competing P&O cruise): 99% of those traveling on your cruise ship will be RSL aficionados or elderly people. I am in my 30s and travelled with my sister. I'd say about 40% of people on board were extremely elderly (with... More

Just got back from a very relaxing cruise with carnival spirit. Left Sydney for 8 nights sailing to New Caledonia. If your a lover of the RSL then this cruise is for you. Comfortable stateroom, with basic amenities. Having said that the room was cleaned twice a day and the bed pulled down for sleep at night.food was a plenty... More

I had a fabulous time... wear tennis shoes or sneakers and take Dramamine if you tend to get seasickness. Partner didn't fare too well when boat hit the ocean from the harbour, but I had no trouble at all! Bring your own water and a fast camera!

Well this is the second time 2014 and noow 2015to take the Sydney Adventure Cruise for Australia Day. What an outing the weather was lousy but it did not dampen the crowd, the fun, the action, the BBQ lunch had by all. There were even tourists from various overseas countries joining in the fun. My husband and I spent the NYE in the Sydney Adventure Cruises on Sydney Harbour. We think that was a great view from the boat. The cruise offered good options in drinks and not expensive, but not to many options of food, so BYO. The other negative thing that was to many people on the boat, around 200. So when... More

Went on a groupon. The company was good. Handled things well. boarded the boat. No one lined up as usual with people just pushing their way from the side of the line to get a seat on the top deck. I sat on a wet seat which was not water, I think a kid had peed as it stank. Perhaps... More

Dear Rietva R., We are glad to hear that you were satisfied with how the trip was handled and that you enjoyed the commentary from our whale guide. On our first trip the weather was not too good with weather conditions such that a large number of people succumbed to sea sickness. Because of the weather the whales did not want to know either. We didn't see any. However the group I was in (9) thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. The kids especially enjoyed the choppy conditions. The company... More

We did not see any whales and they offered a free ride on Sat or Sun same week which didn't suit us. I think you should be careful about dates and Jun July is the best time!

On a visit to Sydney, we decided to watch whales and then joined Sydney Adventure Cruises. It was really a wonderful thing we did--as we experienced, after the marvellous experience we had. It was scintillating to watch the whales groan and making dives in the sea and it is very difficult to put in words the feelings we had during... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
