Beautiful Bay

We enjoyed the ferry ride over to Watson's Bay and then had a fantastic lunch of fish and chips before heading back. Lovely cove on the bay

The environs of the Watsons Bay Area will always remain one of the highlights of a trip to Sydney...the wonderful ferry ride, a walk around the Gap, the parks and gardens and the harbour beaches, thronging with ship, yachts, boats and runabouts. And if you are a piscatorial gourmet, Doyle's Fish restaurants are a delight. The Watson's Bay Pub has... More

I loved this little town. It has a few great little restaurants on or near the water. There is a small mountain you can clime that gives you great views of the city. The people are kind. It is a beautiful day trip from Sydney. You can take the ferry and see amazing views going back and forth to Sydney.... More

Such a beautiful place just moments away from the city. You can catch a ferry from Circular Quay and you'll reach Watsons Bay within 20mins! Its clean, blue and perfect. We went for a nice stroll over the The Gap heads and the view was absolutely amazing! Just like a postcard

Got early morning ferry from central to rose bay, then walk across along coast to Watson bay, gets you there before early morning tourists, have breakfast at local cafe & chat with locals, the leave after look round at the bay, then walk along cliff walk to light house and walk all the way to bondi beach, chill and catch... Going to Watsons Bay by ferry on a blue-sky summer's day is a real treat. Pick from any number of beaches or just stop at Doyle's seafood restaurant & bar. Of course there is the nearby nude beach, which you are not likely to stumble on by accident - it is an energetic walk!

We only tried the pub which is very open and I nice place to meet. There is an upstairs place to sit. If you walk a short distance through the park you can visit the cliffs to the Pacific Ocean. They are worth a look.

Went here on a whim when we had some extra time on a Sunday. The ferry was late picking us up from Sydney. When we arrived there were swarms of people waiting in line to take the ferry back to Sydney - standing in the sun with no covering. We walked through the park by the pier and then stumbled... More

If you're in Sydney it's totally worth to spend at least half a day in Watsons Bay. It's easily accessible by ferry, departing from Circular Quay. It's a short 25min ride til you get there. As a bonus, in case you haven't done yet, you can enjoy awesome views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, especially on the way... More
