$10 jugs of beer, and crab racing Mondays. A must see Monday night, I went to one thinking it would be a one off and now we try to go at least once a month. You can win skydives, free drinks, trips to Fraser Island etc.

For $10 you can get a jug of beer, and for another $10 you can get the "all you can eat pizza special". Think both of these run from 4pm - 7pm. You won't beat those prices anywhere is Sydney. Staff are great too!

I first visited Scubar for hermit crab racing in August and have not missed a Monday night since. It is a backpackers paradise, but plenty of locals can be found here too. Reasonably priced drinks and the most friendly laid back staff ever. I haven't found a better night out experience in Sydney yet.

Went to see the hermit crab races with some friends. The place was packed with people. A ton of tourists! Great vibes:) Good music and everyone seemed to enjoy the dancing. The crab racing was funny but a bit anticlimactic. It's a cool place to check out for some late night fun on a random night

I was in Sydney with my boyfriend for a couple of days and we met my friend at ScuBar for a night out. Overall, it was your normal backpacker bar, drunk people all around, I got quite a few drinks spilled on me and even a couple of hits to the head from crazy dancers. My friend, boyfriend and I... Scubar is located right next to Sydney Central YHA backpackers hostel where i stayed for a few weeks during my official trip to Sydney. So i have It is a nice and cheap place to party. The crowd is quite good and mostly consisted of young backpackers.

My overall exp was v nice although the place is more of students and bag packers and was expected to be rowdy but it was rather friendly ... I met a few people danced together. There was some incident in all of 3+ hours I was there but honestly before I even knew what happened club security had removed the... More

Located in backpacker district, this bar seems to be very popular (went on a Monday night), and packed with ppl in their early 20s. Music is mostly 90s pop. Ppl seem to enjoy themselves, though it's the usual 1/3 girls, 2/3s boys setting.

This is literally the best bar ever for backpackers/people in their early 20s. On Monday nights there is crab racing which is an absolute blast and where you can win great prizes. Such a fun place!!!!

Small venue but reasonable drink deals and prices. Music wasn't too bad either. Backpacker friendly bar just like Sidebar round the corner.
