Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Elizabeth Bay Marina is another one of those lovely, tucked away, waterfront spots that are largely unknown, except to locals.
Unfortunately, it’s not terribly accessible. The foreshore around here has been blocked off by large, ugly blocks of units that were built in the days when councils allowed such things.
However if you are visiting historic Elizabeth House, then it is only a very short walk down to the marina.
There’s a lovely cafe, The Lookout, on the sunny, back deck of the marina.
It’s more beachside kiosk than restaurant but the view, looking out across the marina boats and harbour, makes it special. It’s the sort of place where you end up ordering another coffee just so that you have an excuse to keep sitting in the sun, soaking up the view and the relaxing atmosphere. I’ve eaten here several times and the food has always been decent (see separate review).
Beare Park, runs alongside the marina. This is a nice green space with a large, sloping expanse of grass running along the foreshore path. There’s a small children’s park at the back of the park (although it’s unfenced and the equipment is a little shabby these days), large shady trees and plenty of bench seats with a view.

The views are great from this marina which is a public one. There is a small cafe serving a range of food depending on the time of the day. Good shaded outdoor seating and tables.

Kind of peaceful and with the little Marina cafe on hand.
Great spot for the locals.
Plenty little piers around too.

Great coffee and good food here, but if you go on the weekend be prepared to wait for a table. Wear sunscreen.

I knew they was cafe/bistro in this complex went to grab a bite to eat, unfortunately the prices are not cheap for takeaway a burger was $21. The girl behind the counter was pleasant and tried her best to accommodate and offered to make a salad sandwich after consulting the chef, $10 for the sandwich and $5 for a fruit smoothie.
When I received my meal it was presented in a round takeaway salad bowl. With out looking went on my merry way and when I found a nice spot to sit opened the bowl and found a tiny sandwich of stale sourdough cut to fit the small bowl and two pieces of roquet lettuce aioli and four thin slices of avocado. Disgusting not worth $10 I feel as I paid for the packaging.
Sadly won't be rushing back to Elizabeth bay marina to eat.

Despite being very close to the Sydney business area, Elizabeth Bay is a much more relaxed and laid back locality and is quite a contrast, with loads of apartments.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants along the harbour to eat and drink and just people watch.

They have yacht clubs too plus floating cafes!

Our visit was most enjoyable.

It’s on HoHo bus stop 32.

Newly opened and always packed - there could be more cover for the sun - considerable delays as they are settling in - very friendly helpful staff and the food is wonderful - rather large serving and so reasonably priced - not sure if it is licensed or BYO - e were there for Brunch and did not want a drink. The eggs benedict with smoked trout was truly lovely and some of the other servings looked so appealing - large - particularly the avocado dishes and hamburgers ! :-) We shall return !!

Next to kings kross you can enjoy the beautiful place on the Elizabeth marina lying in the park and maybe reading a book.
