Took the 11k route for this walk - was about 32 degrees and I'm definitely not the fittest person in the world so was a little unsure If I had bitten off more than I could chew. Turned out to be fine - the walk is broadly easy going with some steeper hills and plenty of steps, the distance was... More

When it comes to traffic, this is a horrible bridge to be stuck on. In terms of traveling, this is not my favorite bridge. Traffic is horrible. From a scenery perspective, this bridge is surrounded by come gorgeous scenery. It's also a lot of fun when you are on the bridge when it opens. That's pretty cool. Just don't get... More

The bridge is quirky and to think all the traffic has to stop to let some boats go by. he one thing you must do is the walk from the Spit to Manly its about 10klm and there are some up and down and stairs so not for every one the scenery along the way is spectacular. We caught the... More

This bridge is an unusual one in that it has a lift section that goes up to let boats through. It provides a link between the Middle Harbour & main Sydney Harbour for boats to travel through the bridge as well as easy vehicle access from Sydney centre to Sydney north coastal areas. It is also the start & finish... More

Ran across the bridge after watching it open and close for passing water traffic. Great spectacle and good photographic opportunity.

The Spit to Manly walk was amazing. Beautiful views and walking through the bush. It was of medium difficulty up and down steps but it was so stimulating. I walked part of the way. 2 miles there and 2 miles back. We had to pay $10 Aus for parking for 2.5 hours.

The Spit Bridge, connecting the Sydney North Shore suburbs of Mosman and Seaforth, has played a vital part in the development of Sydney from Seaforth right up to Palm Beach, 40 km to the north. Without the Spit Bridge, access to these northern beach side suburbs would have been via other harbour crossings, involving much longer and more complicated routes.... More
