If you do not want to make the long trip to Urelu ti see the red rock then this is another option. It takes about 1.5 hours to get to the site. The last 30 minutes is on dirt roads that is very shakey. Once you get there you hike about a quarter of a mile to get closer to the rock formations. Tgere is a high road and a low road. Great picture opportunities during the walk. Be prepared for the flies they are very plentiful in the area and just swarm you. I highly recommend a fly face mask since they like to swarm your face. Water and suntan lotion are also good to have.

Once in a while you have to venture down a well worn corrugated road, did I say corrugated, leave the eggs at home! It is well worth while taking the trip down to Rainbow the best time for us was late afternoon for the happy snaps. The Bush Camp was well set out, clean and tidy and from the camp just a short walk up a sand dune for a spectacular view.

Not to be missed. It says 4 wheel drive recommended, but we went in 2 wheel vehicle no trouble what so ever. 22k of unsealed road but well worth it. Best time for the light for photography is in the afternoon.
