90 minute trip on a fast boat from Stokes Hill Wharfe. Excellent staff that are there to please - Jim and Georgia. Great commentary about the Wharfe and the area. A whizz around to Cullen bay to collect yummy fish and chips served piping hot on the boat with a selection of sauces (ketchup, tartare etc) plus wine/beer - one... More

We took their last tour of the calendar year and it immensely exceeded our expectations. It is not a tour for everyone, but we loved it. The biologist and apprentice educated us on sea turtles on the way to the island. They served us a good meal while we waited for the sun to set. We saw sea turtles coming... More

Our trip left 15 mins late and we only just made a good spot for sunset set. It seemed to be a boat trip to pick up fish and chips which was interesting enough but there wasn't much of a "tour" to it. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Hi Louise, Thanks for your review. It is always a challenge for us when customers are late for boarding, and ordinarily if the decision is made to wait then we make up the time at the other end. I believe you cruised with us on the evening of the late rain, so on that night the Captain had nature to... More

A friend and I booked in for the Sunset Fish and Chips Cruise. We stupidly read the start time incorrectly so were very thankful that the Captain (didn't get his name) and Ella waited for us, with the rest of the passengers. (Note: read the instructions so you're on time : D ) We headed out onto the water and... More

Thanks for your review Abs0007. This was absolutely not the experience we usually provide for our guests, but nature dictated! We appreciate your tip about the start time, as the sunset waits for no-one and it is important that we get away on time. Thanks for coming out with us - maybe you could come back one day and have... My son in law organised a small group boat cruise around the Darwin Harbour. I was a little uncertain about going in the first instance. Had the greatest of times, the tour guide was very interesting and informative. We had 60 year old people to 2 years of age in our group and everyone enjoyed the experience. Would recommend this... Thanks Gardensrfun1 for your review, and thankyou for complimenting our guide and our company. We agree that the crocodile dip is a great experience. We try and "do different" and we honour local, so the croc dip is a way of introducing visitors to something uniquely Territorian, and at the same time supports a local supplier, Darwin Fish Market. Hopefully... More

This is a special tour that only operates on the full moon as this is when the turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. It is also the time when the eggs hatch and the baby turtles make a dash to the sea. We were lucky enough to see both things happen. This is a professional run operation with a... More

This was one of the real highlights of our holiday in the Northern Territory. We set off from Stokes Hill Wharf with Sea Darwin on our Turtle Tracks adventure with 21 other travellers and a crew of 3 (the skipper - Jim, and 2 volunteers - Betty and Ella - with the turtle monitoring program that is conducted at Bare... The staff were very friendly. One brand of beer only in a can. You have no choice, the fish was battered within an inch of its life, leaving us very bloated. If you've been on other sunset cruises this will be a disappointment because there's not really much to see.

Hi Mal, thanks for taking the time to post a review. We certainly agree that our crew are friendly, and if basic means forming a base, then we agree there too. For $59 you get to meet friendly locals, your provided with a meal of fresh, local wild caught fish, and a drink (a choice of 2 types of beer,... More

Heading 50kms off the coast of Darwin to Bare Sand Island (added bonus was seeing the Darwin coast line on the way out there), this tour exceeded my expectations by far. Arriving just before sunset we got to talk to the researchers who luckily were on the island at the same time - even got to hold a baby turtle!... More
