We did the full day Heli Pub Crawl and just loved it. Our pilot Blake was awesome. Not only helpful and knowledgeable but took time to show you everything even if that meant an extra loop back around to see something. Whilst there is a time limit at each place (to ensure you see it all) we never felt rushed. Given we travelled at the hottest time of year to Darwin just keep this in mind if planning the same. The helicopter gets pretty hot sitting on the ground until the pilots ramp up that big fan. So, dress for the conditions and keep up the hydration. Of course, that is a given at each pub.
Whilst this may seem expensive when you first look at the price it is pretty cheap when you think just the two of you have your own helicopter for the day. Each pub/place was great, staff were friendly and welcoming. Goat Island get a special mention but that is something you must experience yourself. I won't spoil the surprise. Not to mention how the pilots manage to land on such a small patch. I am sure there are not many places where you land a helicopter in the beer garden of a pub or on a beach at the pub front door. Well done guys, we will be back.

Sounds like you had an amazing time on your Heli Pub Crawl with Blake! We’re so glad that you loved it and saw the value in having your very own chopper for the day! You’re absolutely right about Goat Island, it’s a crowd favourite for so many reasons. Thanks for the awesome review and we look forward to seeing you again! The Airborne Solutions Team

Wow! What a wonderful experience !
We booked a full day to fly out and see Kakadu, we where able to land at an ancient Aboriginal Art sight, it was truly amazing.
We flew to Coowinda for lunch and then cruised the yellow waters, we saw so many Crocodiles !
On the way back we landed at Goat Island to have a beer with King Kai.
Brent our pilot was incredible, very professional and knowledgeable and great fun.
It was definitely the highlight of our time in Darwin.
Would highly recommend flying with Airborne Solutions, great people to deal with and excellent value for money 👍

Kakadu Day tour
Topped off a wonderful week in Darwin with a Heli day trip to Kakadu with Alex as pilot. My wife and I had an incredible day and got some great pics of the National park that you just can't get any other way.

I know because we also did a Day trip with another company in a plane - and it just can't compete with a Heli flight doors off experience at lower altitudes and with greater manoeuvrability.

It was great to drop into a remote aboriginal art site, and the lunch at Cooinda Resort was incredible! The Yellow River cruise was also fantastic and would love to do it again at another time of year.

Alex was an awesome pilot and guide for the day. Although we had a hiccup with the booking, we highly recommend Airborne to you and would tour again with them in the future.

Simply the best way to see Kakadu. We flew with James on a full day trip down to Kakadu (and included the flight extension to the couple of waterfalls). Kakadu is SO expansive, the ability to travel over such a large area and see it from the air was amazing. So many great photos (thanks especially to the ‘no front door’ helicopter which allowed no ‘glass reflections’ spoiling the shot). At our first stop we saw the best example of aboriginal rock art on all of our NT trip. Crocodile cruise and lunch were a nice stop. Obviously expensive - but, if you have a travel ‘war chest’ built up during border closures, this is a spectacular way to spend some of it in our ‘own backyard’ …

We did the full day Heli-pub crawl whilst in Darwin recently, one of four choppers doing the tour. Everything about it was awesome, choppers were spacious, all of the pilots friendly, knowledgeable, engaging and safe. the places we visited were unreal and we just cannot recommend this enough, it was worth every cent and we can’t wait to do it again. Thank you Airborne solutions for having us, it was a blast!

This was a perfect day from start to finish! Our young pilot Blake went out of his way to ensure that my wife's birthday present to me was a very special day. Not being able to have traveled for so many months, this was an extraordinary 4.5 hours away from Darwin City and all the places we visited (Crab Claw, Darwin River & Goat Island) I had never visited before.

We didn't want the day to end but thankfully we got plenty of great photos to remind us of just how good it was.

This certainly won't be the last time we do one of these trips with Airborne solutions.

Roy our pilot was so professional and gave the right blend of information and peace and quiet. Never felt rushed. Amazing scenery and private visit to rock art gallery that was such a privilege and that you just can’t access any other way. Flying over stone country and wetlands is a once in a lifetime experience to see wildlife and landscapes.Plenty of time on river cruise and lunch to relax. Finished with Goat Island “pub” visit was also a fun way to end the day. If you can afford it don’t hesitate-weigh up your drive time and entry fees - it is all inclusive except a drink in the pub which was priceless!

Dear Toni F, Thanks for the absolutely awesome review of our Kakadu Day Trip! Sounds like you had an amazing time exploring Kakadu National Park with Airborne... and we appreciate the feedback. The ease of access and lack of drive time, does make heli touring out of Darwin the perfect option for the time strapped traveller. Glad you enjoyed the Goat Island visit too. Thanks for flying with us! The Airborne Solutions Team

My husband and myself had the most amazing day out with James on a "big day out" and it was a big day and worth every cent. What we were able to do and see would have taken all week. The scenery was amazing and would highly recommend the "big day out" to anyone that wants to experience everything. Thank you James for your time and experience :)

What's better to do on a lazy Sunday then a pub crawl? Well, a heli-pub crawl of course! Part of my son's (delayed) 18th Birthday trip, we did Darwin, Kununurra, Kimberley Coastal Camp, Broome, and apart from KCC which is unbeatable, this day was a highlight of our holiday!

My first time in a chopper, (and a few days later to KCC, and I rather a closed door seat, sh*t myself when in open seats lol...), absolutely great views, gives another aspect of the Top End, absolutely worth the money.

Pilots were all very experienced, knowledgeable and friendly. There was a bit of a hold up at our lunch pub which delayed our return a bit, but this was in our favour, was hoping for more...lol.

Not big on a lot of the tourist gigs, especially where there are arrogant, self entitled pensioners pushing their way to the front at every opportunity in case they miss out on a free dry biscuit or ordering their food first, no worries about them here, they wouldn't pay the $$$. Think it was about $1100 or so each, full day, and it was the BEST, VALUE for money ever, so happy I booked it well in advance, and the young fella will remember it for a bloody long time!

Highly recommended 👍.

My dad and I did the Darwin to Crab Claw Island for lunch and back again. We were on limited time in Darwin and Airborne were incredible to get us in the day after I called. What an incredible way to see so much of the area in a few hours. It really was an eye opener to the layout of the area, the water systems, and the remoteness. Lunch was so delicious at the Crab Claw Island resort and the time length there was perfect for relaxing with lunch and a drink. Still can’t wipe the smile off dad’s face :-) I am terrified of heights and the pilots were so relaxed and confident it made my nerves a lot better. I can not rate this experience highly enough. A must do. Cheers

I’m glad that we are able to get you and your Dad on a Crab Claw Island Lunch tour too!! You’re right, a chopper flight does provide so much sight seeing value and Crab Claw do have a delicious menu. It’s great to hear that that you had enough time there to relax and take it all in and that the pilot helped you feel at ease while you were in the air! Thanks so much for the amazing review and for flying with us! The Airborne Solutions Team
