Visited here with a bus tour to feed the fish. A lovely park well set up for kids and many families were making use of the park. The barramundi that were fed are huge and there are turtles as well. A lovely place to have a picnic on a hot NT day well worth a visit.

We had a short stop at Howard Springs Nature Park to see the feeding of the Barramuni’s – it was interesting to see. We felt that there was a lot more to see however this was part of a round trip returning to Darwin. The seems to be good for families with children.

Really nice, easy accessible spot. Plenty of creatures to see in the main springs area from the boardwalk viewing area, and a nice easy walk to view some upper springs. There is a very relaxed 1.8km loop walk that meanders through bushland, next to and over a creek.
If you have kids, there is a massive playground and some fully covered, man made swimming holes of various depths

We spent the morning here with the 3 kids (4 and under). Make sure you pack swim wear. Kids had a great time playing in the water and on the small playground. Small walk to see the fish and turtles. Highly recommended for young families.

Googles first result for this place links you to a trip advisor review titled Amazing Hot Springs. Let’s be clear, these are NOT hot springs. It is cold water. I wish they would remove that review.

This is a beautiful part of Darwin surrounds. Highly recommend a visit at any time of day. Very well looked after by the rangers.
Facilities are great, and the area is calm, green, and clean.
Didnt take kids, but its completely kid friendly.

What a surprise!
Well presented area, that encompasses areas for play, leisure and connection with the environment. Loved the fish, turtles, goanna and even the half possum that an eagle nearly dropped on me. Suits all ages. We walked the monsoon walk, to the real springs near to the play/water area. Great, free, relaxing area!

Howard Springs Nature Park is located 35kms from Darwin & has been a recreational park for the people of Darwin for many years. There is numerous walking tracks through rainforests & bushland, rock pools, picnic spots, & a waterfall.

Limited parking area, short easy walk, no swimming, boardwalk and bridges over the water, clear water where you can see the barramundi, turtles, fish, playground for the kids with a swim area. Nice place to visit.

It is a great place to go if you want to have a picnic & take the kids for a dip in the kids pools but it is not what it used to be. We were looking forward to a swim in the waterhole but it has been shut off and the only "swimming" is in the man made pools that are primarily for kids. Appears to have good picnic areas, kids playgrounds etc.
