We went there mainly to learn more about cyclone Tracey. This was well documented in the museum, with a room to give you an idea of what it was like for the people on that day(night). There was a lot of aboriginal art. the skin of sweetheart the crocodile and other interesting things..............well worth a visit if you are in... More

It's a small set up with a lot going on, we found the cyclone Tracey exhibit fascinating and loved the story of sweetheart.

A great place to visit. There was a lot to see and well displayed. You could spend hours looking and reading about all the exabitions if you wanted too. There is also a nice little café on site. Well worth a visit.

Good place to review Australian art. Recommended but watch the opening times and cant get crowded for Darwin if a tour bus arrives.

This is a dedicated must for tourists. It's a huge museum with the added benefit of having an art gallery to view. We loved the cyclone Tracy exhibition which was very insightful and reminded us of the horrible devastation back on that fateful day. Kids would love looking at certain items with the animal and boat exhibitions being standouts. Extremely... More

Free entry and a must for any visitor to Darwin. Well laid out and the art can be spectacular particularly when Aboriginal Art awards are on. All exhibit extremely well laid out. Well worth it

We were in Darwin for a quick 2 day visit in the wet season. A lot of attractions aren't open because of the weather but we loved the museum. In fact we visited twice over our 2 days stay. The Cyclone Tracy and Indigenous art exhibitions are must sees. There's also the bonus of a great cafe and shop -... More
