Lots of eateries to choose from and most low cost, Best during Dry season. Take a fishing rod but be aware of huge tides so that fish you catch might be 15 meters down from Wharf. If you ask nicely some of the eateries will cook it for you.

This is a great location to come and sit for lunch. The great thing about it is the view over the harbour, sea, boats, birds and visible fish in the water when you look over the wharf. There's lots of seating available with tables. There's a variety of foods to choose from. Mainly asian and pretty basic. Price is moderate.... More

Nice place for a walk with plenty of boardwalks and vantage points to look out and see the ships come in. I saw a fish swimming up near the Convention centre and followed it as it swam all the way up to where the boats dock. You will see the Navy ships come in as well (when I visited in... More

Just past parliament house, access to the Wharf area and waterfront you can view WW2 oil tunnels, the wharf, and go to shops and resturants. Worth a visit. We even watched fireworks and concert to welcome the new year at night.

I'm referring to the Stoke Hill Wharf area which adjoins the waterfront prescinct. The restaurants here are "ok" and the food court is great for a takeaway dinner on the wharf. What we found fascinating was the bat fish, small sharks and other fish that hang around the wharf seeking food. And frankly, they probably enjoy it more than the... More

A darwin favourite when the weather is right - predominantly fish and chips, asian and seafood mostly at a decent price. The restaurants have changed slightly over the years and the place has a nicer variety of food than it once did. A beautiful place for a nibble while watching the sunset, some restaurants also open for lunch.

Go down in the evening, when it's fine, and have dinner on the wharf. You can see the Barramundi swimming in the sea.

The Darwin Wharf is one of our favourite places to visit and to take other people who have never been before. It's best to go in the evening when it is a lot cooler. Lots of different food options, great prices and relaxed, casual atmosphere. Great for fish and chips. It's particularly lovely in the dry season, or during the... More

This is a lovely area, offering a nice walk and scenic views. It is well worth a visit to take in the tropical atmosphere and turquoise waters of the area.

Make sure you order early. The quality of the food was very good but the time for service was atrocious. A bowl of soup from the Vietnamese department took over an hour and 3 requests to actually arrive.
