We were relatively inexperienced middle aged fishers, with zero experience in fishing with lures, but Brian set our minds at rest immediately.

He explained the processes and was very patient in ensuring we used the correct techniques.

Importantly, he explained the importance of presenting the lure as if it was a real fish, doing what real bait fish does. Made it all make sense. Match the Catch.

He explained the multitude of fishing options in Darwin's amazing harbour and its river systems.
It all depends on the winds and tides and every day is different and offers different opportunities.

Our best produce came from Woods Inlet across the harbour, where we caught a large king threadfin salmon, two blue threadifin salmon, two finger mark snapper, and a grunter. We threw some Queenfish back and lost a barra at the edge of the boat.

We witnessed a salty croc fighting off a shark for some fish. The shark won. Exhilarating.

He explained the importance of catching the last hour or so of the dropping tide and first hour incoming, and also how the large fish lie in waiting for the bait fish to leave and re-enter the drains.

Brian's knowledge of everything fishing, and his story telling of his experiences were astounding.

Truly a man at one with his environment and immensely easy to share such a 9 hr day with.

An experience of a lifetime for us.

Had a great day chasing fish in Darwin harbour with Anglers Advantage. Brian was a very knowledgeable guide ,very eager to help you catch fish on lures. We constantly moved around to be in the right place for the tide, with Brian giving tips and encouragement as we went.
I shared a charter and we both caught numerous species of fish, couldn't land a barra but I hooked 3 which I dropped at the boat.
If you like lure fishing or want to give it a try this is your charter , highly recommended

Brian provided comprehensive and detailed tuition on the use of his high quality fishing equipment and soft plastics before we hit the harbour and creeks out of Darwin. The following 4 hours had me landing 9 different species of fish and a total fish count that was too large to remember. Techniques of reading tides, water colouration and soft plastic presentation will serve me well thanks to Brian's expertise. I thoroughly recommend a tour with Brian.

Had the weekend off and on the spur of the moment called Brian at Anglers Advantage. Great guy fitted us in for a four hour estuary fishing trip (two hours either side of low tide).
Great knowledge of the area and putting us in the right position to catch fish. Having never used plastics before he taught us well with and had us catching fish quite quickly.
Resulting in me catching a 104 cm Queen fish. Next time I am here with a day off I will be back again. Exceptional day out.

We had a great morning out on the harbour and learnt so much from Brian. As neither my wife or I are are seasoned anglers and I usually get sea sick and my wife has a fear of boats, sharks, and water! It could have been a recipe for disaster!! But, honestly, this was a huge highlight of our trip. To see my wife reeling in a trevally and a queenfish bigger than anything either of us have ever caught before was great. Brian is clearly very knowledgeable and really wanted us to get the most out of the morning. We only did the half day and was worth every cent!! We saw turtles, sharks, dolphins, barracuda (that stole half a fish that was being reeled in). More than just a fishing trip, I would recommend this to anyone visiting Darwin. Only takes 2-3 people so you're not lost in a big group and Brian helps with it all.

Spent a brilliant half day fishing with Brian in Darwin harbour, timed the spots to the tide and taught us so much about the kit, techniques and local fish. Saw some big splashes but unfortunately didn't catch any barra but got a great selection of golden snapper, javelin fish, bream and flathead. Plenty for dinner! He gives you as much help as you want (max of 3 people fishing) with casting and plenty of tips to use the soft plastics at their best. Just need to invest in some and try at home! And no need for food on a half day tour (as some other companies offer) - we were far too busy fishing.

Bryan knows his stuff, we went out for a few hours and caught about 25 fish in very relaxing surroundings. His gear is of the highest quality and he teaches you along the way. Only downside is we didn't get any barra but plenty of golden snapper and javelin. Hooked onto a massive salmon but the bugger got off. The other fella hooked onto a decent barra but also got off. That's fishing I guess.

Great day out. 3 inexperienced fishers caught 16 fish in 4 hours thanks to Brian Redman's local knowledge. We crossed the harbor to head up estuaries amongst the mangroves in search of barramundi, snapper, trevally. The remote controlled electric motor kept us close to our prey. One of us was brave enough to cast but 2 of us relied on Brian's accuracy which undoubtedly helped our catch.
