The catering facilities here are average.
We dined at The View restaurant, female staff appeared as if she would rather be somewhere else.
Overpriced food.
6 prawns on a huge amount of rocket with thinly sliced orange $34.

Overall our stay was very good, however we were staying over Christmas and the description of the room wasn’t accurate. We thought we in a Lagoon accessible room. We were on Level 1. No access. This is disappointing at $600 a night. We did get moved to a Lower level room that had access and they did provide a $100 credit and half price breakfast for two mornings. So at least they made up for the mistake and took on my advertisement issues. Sadly the pool bar was barely open, the weather wasn’t great but people wanted it open. Il Piato wasn’t open either. So only one food option. The View. It was ok. Not great but good. Overall the stay was good, we enjoyed the lagoon room and had a lovely time from the balcony straight into the pool. Just be sure to ask for a pool directly onto the pool and ground level just to be clear. Lovely rooms. Bit of a walk to get there, from reception. Lagoon is huge. Little sand bank area. Kids love that.

Went to have dinner at Il Piato - family birthday dinner - fine dining experience with a $400 price tag. Spent the first hour + blocking our ears from the doof doof music played around the pool. It may as well have been at the next table.
Food and service lovely - all the stars are for them staff apologetic but this is a Casino management decision and clearly the guy running the pool bar and music doesn’t care about the impact on anyone within a 200 m radius.
I wrote a complaint at the time as did at least one other table at our sitting. Have had no feed back, acknowledgment or apology from casino management so writing this review.
If you want to be able to talk to those you are going to dinner with then ask before you book / otherwise earplugs are advisable.

Stayed 7 nights at resort wing, It has smart modern spacious Rooms & offers direct access to large lagoon pool & bar so has appeal for sunbathing & chilling out.
Staff are a bit pressured, Lots of guest services below 5 star standard , but understand since hr options limited. Definitely a top location close to Cullen Bay restaurant strip, local markets & local clubs & situated right on beachfront.
Security guards were unusually affable, when you needed help or local advise, maybe the front office / management crew could get some tips in guest communication from them.
Overall Darwin is a fantastic getaway in their warmer months & good base to explore & this stay over given the other options was a pretty good.

Location is gorgeous and the Pools are stunning
Arrived at hotel around 4.30pm, check in is at 3pm. Room still not ready ? Check in is all over the place, very confusing. We had 3 rooms. Once in our room, maintenance was in there fixing something so we had to sit on our verandah for another hour! Check out was just as confusing .
Rooms clean. Mini bars are no longer available in the ‘basic’ rooms including the executive suites but you will still have wine glasses, champagne glasses etc? It’s only available in the expensive lagoon rooms facing the pool.
There is no information in the rooms at all , don’t know how to work air con, no info about the hotels, room service etc , no info about Darwin in general . Was very odd. No kids under 18 available to swim in the infinity pool everyday. Bit disappointing for my 16 year old.
For such a high calibre resort they missed the personal touches.

Sitting around the pool. Got crowded and pushed out by young group of pommys about 20 people in their 20’s. We went for a swim. We got out of the pool and they were sitting on our table and chairs. No toilet paper in the toilets in the casino.

Visited here twice on recent trip to Darwin. Its a cool oasis in the wet season where temps were up around 37 degrees each day. Lots of restaurant options but we opted for the sports bar so we could watch the cricket. Meals were huge, very well priced and quite good. Would recommend visiting for lunch, a quiet bet or even just a drink.

We stayed there in June 2021. The staff were excellent, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms are comfortable without being outstanding.
The Vue restaurant for breakfast and also dinner was good value surprisingly gly. Normally hotel restaurants are over priced and basic.

The Casino is an easy bus ride from the city. Casino staff were very friendly and I enjoyed a couple of hours here. Sometimes in Darwin it's good to get out of the heat and enjoy the air conditioning of somewhere like the Casino.

We visited the Casino on a couple of occasions. The two course senior meals on offer were delicious and well priced. A large variety and quantity of gaming machines available for use. Pleasant, helpful staff.
