Lots of greens. but that is what is expected in a botanical garden. Not crowded. Good place to go if you want to have some nature and peace, away from the city. Bring an umbrella in case of rain. Entrance and Parking is free and there are toilets about 200meters from the entrance.

Great place for a relaxing walk around the garden. Plenty of seating, good shade when needed and very clean public amenities.

Bordering a busy inner city suburb and main highway west is this secluded oasis. The access road to it can be a bit tricky for first timers, so keep your eyes peeled. Have taken my children and nephews and nieces to the gardens several times. Follow the Children's trail with its very interesting artworks. Fern House, Tropical Dome and Bonsai house are also interesting to look at. The Japanese Gardens are beautiful and tranquil. Great for photos in spring when the flowers come out. Fragrant Gardens are also interesting to walk through.

The views from Mt Cootha was breathtaking and spectacular. The cafe is great as it was fabulous place to hang out and have some coffee & scones. This is great in the evening as Brisbane and its surrounding places were lit up and was simply great to watch. Botanical gardens are must see as well. The planetarium is great for... More
