Our day began at Manly Harbour boarding the Cat'o'Nine Tails and a very pleasant 30 minute trip across Waterloo Bay to St Helena Island, a former prison island and now a National Park. The trip was made fun and entertaining by the guides who dressed in 1880's costumes and gave a humorous account of life on the island. Great actors... More

Great day had on this tour. The guides were very informative bringing Brisbanes history to life. Lunch was lovely, tea and coffee plentiful. Walking was easy, enough stops to rest. National parks could add an extra toilet but other than that, cannot fault this trip!

Who knew that St Helena had a thriving sugar and olive industry? What a great day. Hard working crew of the Cat of Nine Tails, delivered a really entertaining and effective history lesson to kids and adults alike. Prisoner 321 & 31 and the warder do a great job of managing the kids as well. This is a lesson every... More

Great day out for everyone. The crew really help make the day. There is lots of walking to be done and lots of sand flies so don't forget the sun screen and repellant as both will be needed. Lunch is provided but you will need to take water. Recommended for singles, couples, families and groups.

From the moment you start your Day on the boat, you know this is going to be a great day out. The day is Funny, Informative, and presented with great re-enactments from the 'Guard and Prisoners' who do their absolute best to keep you entertained and engaged. The history information is excellent, about the Island, the surrounding area, and Brisbane... More

After 5 years of going across to St Helena Island as a teacher it was wonderful to visit as an adult. The tour guides were wonderful with the students and equally as good with adults. You saw the cemetery, where the convicts were in isolation and there punishment regime whether it was the cat o nine tails or carrying cannon... More

Just back from our second tour of St Helena Island this year! It is an excellent day out. The crew are engaging and full of incredibly interesting facts and stories and their delivery is the best bit! Two 'prisoners' and a 'warden' take you around the site and their play acting is a wonderful medium to communicate what life on... More

My gorgeous wife and I took the day trip. Had a good time, even laughed at the corny dad jokes! A decent day out, for first timers.
