Look there's nothing else on the island, but it is a part of our Brisbane history and I find it fascinating to step back in time here. We can't move forward without learning about our past. Here's your opportunity. It's a great day, boat out, picnic lunch over there, tour the ruins. Just remember to take the Aerogard!

Excellent day trip- the crew are extremely attentive, very knowledgeable and humourous! So history is presented in an entertaining way. Not only the history of St Helena island but also quite a bit about Brisbane and Moreton Bay in general. Top tip- not much shade- so take water, a hat or better still a shade umbrella. Comfortable shoes are a... More

Our tour of St Helena Island was fascinating - the guides were really entertaining and informative. Learnt so much about Queensland's early penal history. Lunch was great and enjoyed the day very much.

I have been here a couple of times, and I never get tired of seeing it all. It can get quite hot during the day so on this visit we decided to do the night time ghost tour. Wow it was great. It was cool enough to thoroughly enjoy the talk, the actors were totally on point.

Our day began at Manly Harbour boarding the Cat'o'Nine Tails and a very pleasant 30 minute trip across Waterloo Bay to St Helena Island, a former prison island and now a National Park. The trip was made fun and entertaining by the guides who dressed in 1880's costumes and gave a humorous account of life on the island. Great actors... More
