The visitor centre obviously provides useful information about Walkabout Creek. The real point of the place is the access to the small, but well presented native animal refuge which includes small crocodiles, wallabies, wombats some snakes and some lizards. It will occupy a child for...More

Walkabout Creek is a balm for a busy city driven soul, with ample parking, a lovely open air cafe and a tranquil bird filled reservoir. The cafe which serves a range of breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea offerings is good value. The environmental centre is...More

Great little spot so close to home. It can get quite busy by the water in summer but once you're out of the 'beach' area you almost have the reservoir to yourself. We like to take the Stand Up Paddleboard down and go for a...More

Entrance was free as it was a public holiday but it is generally 7 dollars. 1 wombat, 4 kangaroos, a few snakes and a platypus. It's not going to rock your world, it is within walking distance of a bus stop. Even at 7 dollars,...More
