Don’t bother to stop here unless you wish to have your food stolen by the bids. Very unnerving for little children when they swoop down and steal the food off the tables/ your hands. Remember Alfred Hitchcock film The Birds?

We were expecting to see many animals native to Australia but compared to other places in the area it was very tired and downbeat. The staff were great and we loved seeing the crocodiles being fed.

Called in here on a chance driving past. Brilliant little centre with an array of Australian wildlife including Wallabies and fish. The kids loved the short walk where you can interact with the Wallabies. Great way to spend a couple of hours if nearby

Firstly don’t listen to the reviews having ago about this place, it’s beautiful! Yes the centre is small with a handful of reptiles etc, but it’s worth it for young children to get up close and see nature. If you want oodles of animas go...More

This used to be a lovely place to visit - took a visitor there on Sunday (21 Oct 2018) and it was awful. A few miserable looking reptiles and that's it. When I paid, they failed to tell us the wildlife centre was under renovation....More

This quite an amazing spot, so close to the Brisbane CBD, The wildlife centre has quite an amazing variety of animals, reptiles and fish, including a large emu, several kangaroos, a wombat, and of course a pair of very active platypus, who seem to feed...More

The kids were able to dig for dinosaur bones, wander through the kangaroos, and got to see platypus, snakes, wombat and other creatures.

Expected a little more when we visited on a rainy Sunday. They only have a few lizards and snakes and three or four aquariums with fish and turtles in the reptile area, and my favourite- the platypus. All animals were super active though which made...More

Visited the Walkabout Discovery Centre on a wet Saturday with visiting grandparents. We had a look around the discovery centre and saw platypus, wallabies, snakes, lizards among others. Then we went to the 'up close and personal' information show with Ranger Russell. Russell was really...More
