Lovely walk but def at lot more hills than I expected. You can chose to talk the larger patch but I would recommend taking some of the smaller ones as they take you deeper into the Forrest. The Forrest is full of short cuts and it is very convenient to take a walk through the Forrest.

Enjoyed a morning walk here. I took the summit track to the lookout - enjoyed the view at the top with a coffee at the cafe and the took the federation route back down. Nice shade, accessible parking and clearly marked and maintained tracks.

Toohey Forest is a small forest that can be found in the suburbs of Tarragindi and Salisbury on the southside of Brisbane. You can drive there or catch a bus. Griffith University's Nathan campus lies across one of its boundary lines. The Environmental Faculty from the university do from time to time conduct surveys in the forest. A wide variety of flora and fauna can be seen. I have seen a fox run into the forest from the Gaza Road side (an exit of the M1 motorway).
