    Return to Eat St
I returned to Eat St for a social event recently for the first time since circa 2014. It’s definitely grown and there’s quite the carnival atmosphere. I do think the entry fee is a bit much given it is just a market where you pay for everything anyway but I assume there are costs to recover for the live music, cleaning & facilities. I will say it is very popular and sure draws the crowds - pretty impressive for 50+ shipping containers fitted out into food stalls in what was an old abandoned docking site in Hamilton/Portside. Per the advertising “You’ll find everything from pork dumplings to Japanese pizzas, classic burgers to Korean sliders, Aussie fish and chips to snails in garlic and parsley butter sauce, and vegan brownies to cheesecake sundaes.. It has all the buzz of an Asian night market with live music to boot”. The food & tasty treats are indeed plentiful, with so much on offer. We had a large group and had our own container down the back overlooking the river and could go for a walk to get food & drinks and bring it back to our area. It’s a bit of a maze - I entered from the ‘Hello’ entry point snd it took me a while to figure out what was where. There is lots of parking but they sure need it!

    Dinner at Eat Street
First time visiting for us and we loved the concept of being able to try different types of food in the one place. Bring your wallet with you though as most dished are between $12-$15 each. We tried the salt & pepper calamari, octopus on a stick, bao buns, oysters and brownies for desert. The venue is licensed but drinks are not cheap. We got there about 4.30 so got a table on the river which was nice to look at. Live entertainment, seemed to be plenty of parking (we ubered). Great sport for large groups and kids.

    Get there early…..
Thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Eat Street. The Website gives a great overview and the map helps planning. Was told it was one of the busiest Fridays and long queues to get in so advice is get there early to get parking and a table. Food was good for a fast food venue and a huge selection of food outlet.

No 1 thing to do in Brisbane
Amazing place. Had such a great time. Well worth going. I'm going again I loved it that much. Loads of great food and drink places. Don't make the mistake of filling up at the first eating place when there's a queue, grab little bites and sample everything. Bradley MaCaw was playing on the main stage. He was amazing. Fantastic night for 6 dollars. Definitely recommend. This should be number 1 in the things to do 😍

After seeing Eat Street online my friend and I thought we’d visit. When we walked in we were totally shocked by the whole place! It was huge!! There were so many incredible food options and a lot of entertainment too, including live singers and dancers! You must enter this place very hungry!

Must go if you’re in Brisbane. Small $6AUD entry fee at the door to access amazing! There are so many food options and it is so fun! Each section has live music and entertainment going. Family friendly for sure. My husband and I would eat, sit, watch/listen for a bit, and then move on to the next. Easy to get to by public transit. Food was phenomenal and you can try a bunch of new things. Staff on site are super friendly, accommodating, and helpful.
My only gripe is I wish they were more “small plates” so you could eat more vs average sized plates/meals. Either way we are so glad we went and will probably come back before we leave

If you like a food market then this is THE place for you! Can’t recommend enough if you enjoy good food, good drinks and good vibes. Super easy to access from the cbd via the city cat. We were so glad we went. I had the best corndog of my life! Everything was so delicious, venue was spacious, great live music, lots of drinks stands and also some cute little stores. Would absolutely return if in the area.

Sensory overload. So many food options and cool to have different live music options also. Would be better if stalls made smaller portions so you could try more different foods.
