Five stars all round! Took the Tilt Train from Brisbane to Maryborough West, en route to Hervey Bay - very pleasant experience! Booked business class and it was worth the few extra dollars - seats very comfortable airline-style but more room to stretch your legs. Free wifi and two power points, definitely a bonus! Meals were average, similar to an... More

Depend on your ticket class, you can be at reclining seat of Premium Economy cars, or at Rail Bed carriages at more expensive ticket for combination of comfortable seat and lie-flat-bed at night. Our Tilt Train trip from Townsville to Brisbane was good and OK, cannot say spectacular or excellent, but at least it was good, the carriage was clean,... More

If the car is not required at the other end the Tilt Train is the perfect way to travel. I sat in air conditioned comfort attended by friendly polite staff on my journey to Bundaberg. I took my own food so can't comment on the food sold on the train. On the forward journey the train kept perfect time. However... More

Travelled on the Tilt train from Brisbane to Maryborough and return. Business class is comfortable and the food adequate. The return train was delayed owing to an electrical fault. We were left in sweltering heat at the station for a little over an hour and a half. the staff were less than polite, there was no offer of water and... More

As an alternative to doing battle on the Bruce Highway, I opted for a Tilt Train journey to Bundaberg to visit family. It takes a little longer but I arrived fresh and relaxed without the stress of highway driving. The catering staff were efficient although boarding on abrupt as they seemed anxious to move on to the next customer. There... More

Great views and scenery but train very uncomfortable on the night part of the journey. The food is absolutely dreadful and not to be recommended! They could do so much more with this service. If it was more like the Ghan or the Indian Pacific, then it would be great.

Seats were not very spacious and if person in front is reclined even less access and comfort. Food and beverages readily available, however you will need to go in search for them as no signage. Good option if driving not an option.
