I visited with my sister and our kids who are toddles and our teenage cousin. Majority of the staff in the childrens area were miserable! It was like zombie land and not how I remembered it from years ago. One food place was open and the burgers were dripping with grease , i bit into a burger and grease came oozing out and went all over me! Needless to say I didn’t eat anymore. Bounce & drenched both closed , so hardly anything exciting for our cousin whilst speed & megafobia were out of the way- for £36 a ticket I would have expected more. The park is in need of a drastic change. I loved this place as a child and came every year right up to my teens. I couldn’t wait to bring my daughter and nephew; Sadly, after this experience - I will never be returning. Overpriced & not enough workers . Most rides in the childrens part you have to wait for even with no queue as the workers are rotating between rides as presumably understaffed.

Oakwood theme park

I went to Oakwood park with Inspire training on the 13th June 2022. We went because it was a treat for our class. I’d only been to Oakwood once before and was too scared to go on any of the big rides like Megafobia or Speed. But this time I queued up for all the big rides and it was amazing I went on Megafobia and just after I went on Speed. My favourite part was the first drop on speed as it was nerve-racking. I would highly recommend because it is a good and fun day out.

The drive up to Oakwood was very peaceful with great scenery and once me and my class arrived, we were welcomed by a kind employee, and they helped us get booked in. Our first ride of the day was the ‘Dizzy Disk’ my classmates and teachers thoroughly enjoyed however I missed out on that ride considering I’m not a huge fan of spinning rides. The park is set out amazingly and the atmosphere is great. The staff there were friendly, and I had many chats with them. My favourite ride was ‘Skull Rock’ which is a water ride, we went around in a log flume before making our way up to the drop. We didn’t get extremely wet but enough to cool down because the weather was lovely and warm. The only problem we had, which the park can’t really control, was the seagulls that kept grabbing our food, we had to walk away quickly from them. Overall, it was an amazing day out and I would highly recommend this for everyone of all ages and there’s also wheelchair access for those who need it.

Oakwood Theme Park Review

4/5 Stars

Firstly, we travelled to Oakwood in a mini-bus on Monday 13th June, we arrived at 10:45HRS and we had 2 hours to spend there. The reason we went there is as a group reward. I spent time with the other members of my group. It was really good; the employees were very friendly. My favourite part of the day was going on Speed for the first time. I would recommend 4 out of 5 just because there’s not been new rides for quiet a few years. On that day I walked 10,654 steps.

On the 13th of June I went to Oakwood Park for a treat day out day out with my class at Inspire. Firstly, we went on the Spinning Disc then Megaphobia both in which were stomach turning rides however amazing, after that we went on the Pirate Ship where we just sang the SpongeBob Theme Song at the top of our voices in which was amazing and hilarious at the same time. Apart from a school group we were the only ones at the park so we didn’t have to queue at all. Some of my friends were terrified of rides so it was funny trying to persuade them to come on the rides and when I finally managed to get one of them onto a ride (Skull Rock) she grabbed onto me the whole time which made me laugh! My favourite part was probably going on Speed as it had two really big drops feels impossible to stop yourself from screaming on as well as the fact that it was difficult to try dragging the others in the group on with us. I was slightly disappointed as I really wanted to go on Bounce however this was not due to the park, it was a health and safety risk as I was the only one that was willing to go on it, so I ran down to the ride and couldn’t go on. Overall this had been an amazing experience the employees at the park were lovely and welcoming and let us repeat some of the rides which was fun. I would highly recommend visiting although I would advise to take some spare clothes to go home in as you may want to go on the water rides in which you are likely to get soaked!

Was a great day. What it lacks in rides it makes up for in short queues. Rides still fun and megaphobia, speed, and water rides are very fun

Simply do not understand the negative reviews here? Been coming for years, and every single visit has been fantastic! There are plenty of large rides to choose from, everything operating, minimal queues, incredibly friendly staff, and really tasty food! Awesome to see Bounce back up and running too! 👌🏻 Definitely well worth the visit!!
