Visited during a back packing summer across Australia. Due to high swell during the trip the crew were initially warey of having to cancel the trip however once on our way we were soon pounding our way through the surf towards the first of three dive sites. All staff were highly experienced and knowledgeable in the marine life of the... More

Wonderful amazing day out for the family, kids ages from 9-22 (snorkelling), would have been a bit much for the 6 year old, too long.. 3 dive sites (2 where amazing for scuba), wore stinger suits, felt at ease... food decent..

As a certified diver I had never been on such a big boat before with so many people. It was a bit overwhelming as I usually dive in smaller groups with smaller staffs on smaller boats. It feels very touristy and I couldn't understand how they would get everyone into the water without it taking forever, but they were able... More

First I want to say that I wish I could give a better review than "average". It is NOT because of the staff on the Silverswift. They were professional and we had a safe trip to the reef and back. We took our trip from Cairns. They should be commended for all that happens on a boat with around 80... More

While a bit more expensive than other options I did not regret choosing this tour option. The boat was comfortable size, in good upkeep and seemed fully outfitted. The snorkel gear included mask, fins, snorkel and lycra suit. The snorkel spots were good and saw lots of fish and beautiful coral. My 9 year old who previously did not like... More

I'll start off this review by telling you what you need first and foremost, as the website/people at check-in give you no indication: swim suits, sun screen, TOWELS (can rent for $14 apiece), WATER BOTTLES (otherwise you have small sippy cups for in between dives). My wife and I had come from diving in Phuket, Thailand, and all of these... More

We just had the best day with the Silverswift cruise out on the reef snorkeling. Awesome dive sites, friendly and helpful crew, delicious lunch and all round a great day. Would recommend highly.

The visit to the Flynn atoll was good. As expected three sites were visited but all three sites on the same atoll. Even if different, a higher difference could have been by going on another atoll as the ad let think! Limited sun didn't allow to enjoy the blue pristine water Some freedom to swim a little far from the... More

Great experience for a snorkeler! The ride out is about 90 minutes and can be rough, so take some Dramamine if you are concerned about motion sickness. And bring the good stuff, not the non-drowsy crap. The staff are good about watching the guests for pre-sea sick signs. They are very compassionate and will help you with water or ice... More

We had a very good day diving and snorkelling with silver swift on the Great Barrier Reef. Good safety briefings and we saw so many different fish and corals. The lunch was very good too. We liked the talk about the fish we might see, and then more about the fish and coral we did see- nice touch.
