This was our second dive/snorkel trip to the Great Barrier Reef. Since it was the number one item on my bucket list (and had been for some time), I booked two different trips with different operators as it was the wet season, and I was...More
Crew was great—very attentive, knowledgeable, and dive staff was top notch. If you’re used to Caribbean diving, the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) is very different—large fast catamarans head far offshore to the reef and spend the whole day. Some seem to pack in hundreds of...More
We looked at many different boats all seemingly offering the same service but we were delighted to have picked this boat. We felt safe and everything was so well organised. There was a briefing before each snorkel and the food was delicious. Mex looked after...More

What a wonderful day on the reef. Due to the tides and currents and the choppy waves, we visited 2 sites rather than 3 (we did the first site twice). But it was a very enjoyable experience indeed. The staff were friendly, and informative. The...More
I had such a fantastic day diving with Silverswift! Kenji our dive instructor was amazing! He was so patient and helpful. Food was great! I was a little disappointed with the service from the onboard crew, who were at times abrupt and some even muttered...More

On our one day snorkel tour we saw a variety of ages and skills present. We felt the time could have been better structured. This is one of the few tours that will take you to three dive spots instead of two. Each time you...More

If you spend a little more and take the Silver Swift they will take you to the outer reef, once there you should go expecting to see a lot of very colourful fish and amazing coral. There are also schools of large fish that congregate under the dive boat. Some people saw a sea turtle, I didn't, but I did get to float around with a massive Maori Wrass. I'm going back in October for two more days on the reef. I live 3000kms away from Cairns so it's a pretty big deal for me to go out and do this again. Bring a water proof action cam if you have one.

They do not have half perscriptions. Nor do they have different perscriptions for either eye. They will have +1.00, +2.00, +3.00. up to I think +5.00 for both eyes . You can buy a good mask tailored to your prescription on Amazon, at your optometrist or a dive shop. Between $60 and $100 depending on where you buy the mask. It is worth spending the money. You will be glad you did.
