A wonderful collection of Brett Whitely paintings and sketches, with my personal favourite being " The Fifteen Greatest Dog Pisses of Paris". Also houses a great exhibition of indigenous artworks, with memories from the old"Blackbirding" days, not a great time in Cairns history, but it...More

We attended the excellent Brett Whitely exhibition on its last day and were very surprised to find out the gallery closed before 4pm. Many potential customers turned away. The gift shop had a very good range of items reasonably priced.

For a relatively small regional gallery it attracts some great exhibitions. Our third visit and impressed every time. Very helpful staff and an interesting and excellent value gift shop

I rated the Gallery as 5/5 as an excellent REGIONAL gallery. A temporary Brett Whiteley exhibition was on show while when we visited, the best small show of that artist we've seen. Permanent exhibits often had a local flavour, which we liked a lot. Don't...More

Beautiful old building and well curatored exhibitions. I loved the Brett Whitely selections and Rosa display. The gift shop had a wonderful collection of quality gifts for all ages including Australian themed goods.
