If you don't do something along these lines when you're up here, you're mental! That said, these are not cheap trips (but that all depends on one's budget). Budget: $250-300 per person. We decided to take the less intensive 'snorkel-only' option (to the Low Isles), on the powered-sail boat; "Aquarius". Figured we could focus more on the reef & less... More

Incredibly high standard catamaran trip to the Low Isles. The catamaran could have catered for up to 23 people, luckily there was only 5 of us plus 2 crew. It was such a great trip, we were really looked after from the moment we stepped on board. Lunch was superb. Teas and coffees were served on arrival and further teas,... More

The Aquarius and it's staff were good, a smooth cruise throughout. BYO is highly recommended. Cold canapes are served with drinks available for purchase. Sunset cruise should leave later in the day, the sun was still quite high in the sky when we got back which left us unsatisfied overall. Was a sunset cruise with no sunset.

We spent an extremely relaxing day out on the water snorkelling in the low isles. Great boat, well trained, experienced staff who attended to our every need. Good lunch and delicious cake for tea. A really fun day.

Did lots of research beforehand and plumped for this cruise and snorkel on the basis of it being a smaller boat and more relaxed than some of the big boats that go to the outer reef. So it proved, with just 16 passengers and 4 crew. The all female crew and captain were very professional and nothing was too much... More

This boat is just stunning, the most luxurious way to get out to the Low Isles for sure. The relaxed (but incredibly professional) crew members Tara & Sharnee set the tone for the day with their lovely welcome and introduction. The weather was exceptional which of course always helps, but the whole experience was awesome. My friend had never snorkelled... More

Great after day experience. Not to long, nice sail out of port Douglas. Boat nice size for kids to move around, but still good even when full to enjoy as couple. Byo is great idea.

The best thing about this cruise is that you can take your own drinks and then it stops there. The only time the staff talked was when to advise us of safety precautions. Got out into the middle of nowhere with no information on where we were or what anything was. 4 pieces of canapes in an hour and half... More

There are several options for snorkeling while in Port Douglas, but the Aquarius full day Low Isles sail and snorkel is the best option! You get a much smaller group (10-12) on a beautiful 62 foot catamaran with two heads and a full kitchen, from which you are served a gourmet lunch and afternoon tea. The full day ensures you...
