WE picked this tour for our first visit to Barrier Reef and it was OK. The tour was overbooked & both the catamaran & platform was hectic. Would love to come back when it was not so crowded, but we managed to get equipment & wait in line to get into the water so that we could snorkel. Out time... More

Did both the outer reef and low isles trips. Both fantastic, staff were great, took seasick tablets but didn't need them as there was next to no wind on both days. Snorkelling at the outer reef had better visibility, saw nemo and plenty of different fish. Snorkelling at the low isles saw turtles, and reef sharks (small sharks nothing to... More

My husband and I so wanted to go on this cruise and were not disappointed. The highlight of my holiday. We are middle aged and rather large. I so wanted to snorkel and was assured the stinger suits would fit. After finally getting out to out destination we were given a lunch to enjoy and then our suits. After much... More

Very well organised cruise with lots of options for everyone to do something. Whether you are a swimmer or non swimmer, they have activities to ensure you enjoy the time on the Reef. The food is good too.

My family & I loved our day with Quicksilver. It was a fantastic experience, the time went too fast. This company is so completely organised & always look to make your day an enjoyable one. We went on the guided reef snorkel tour with the marine biologist, an extra cost, but so worth it. We did the helicopter flight with... More

Our group had 3 certified divers and 1 non-diver. The certified divers were able to dive 3 times per day and the non-diver was able to take their "Introductory Course" and also dove 3 times on the reef. Most of the people on the boat are snorkelers however and the cruises cater to them as well. They provide all the... More

Enjoyed a wonderful day on board quicksilver Sunday 15 January. It's so well organised and managed by this excellent crew. I did this tour in 1997 and wasn't disappointed to book this time. There's so much choice, if you have spare cash you can book experiences, e.g. intro to snorkeling, adventure snorkeling with a biologist, diving for beginners padi or... More

As it was our first time on the reef and first time snorkelling we decided to use quicksilver due to the options available. On the boat we purchased the introduction snorkelling tour with a marine biologist which was $150 for the family which included the stinger suits (suits are $8 each to hire). Once we arrived on the pontoon we... More

While this is a very good experience I personally much prefer the low isles. The submarine ride is definitely a high point of the ride touring around the parts unavailable by snorkelling. The snorkelling is a great experience but the downside is it being so far down and therefore reducing the colours of the reef. Overall, this is a day... More

Our kids had a lovely time with our snorkelling guide, Tatjana. She took good care of everyone, especially the kids. All the kids were snorkelling for the first time and she was their primary support. She was a natural with the kids and they just love her. Glass bottom platform and submarine were another great opportunities for families and non-swimmers... More
