We had booked this trip before we left home so didn't know quite what to expect. We were taken out on a wave buster boat to the outer barrier reef where the company have a pontoon. Once at the pontoon you collect your equipment and can snorkel independently. There is also an underwater viewing gallery and semi-submersible. For an additional... More

I could not fault this service at all. From the friendly booking staff to the luxury vessel everything was perfect. The boat ride is smooth with plenty of sitting room and clean bathroom facilities. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The lunch was yummy and there were plenty of options. Other snacks were available for purchase also. The reef itself... More

I am a firm believer that there are good and bad things about all tours. I'll start with the bad. It was a little disappointing that the stinger suits are not included in the cruise price. We booked our tour through the hotel and they didn't mention it. It's 8 dollars on board, which isn't a whole heap of money... More

Being sailors ourselves we normally enormously dislike group trips on boats but we had no option if we wanted to go out to the outer Reef. Also in the past we have found dive boats to be very "macho". We chose the Poseidon as it was slightly smaller than her sister ship and was to carry a good mix of... More

A great day on the reef. This tour is quite commercial and is geared to squeezing as much experience as possible into a limited time frame. Be prepared to fork out extra cash for some of the extra experiences . Not an unreasonable expectation but it can get quite expensive. We took a helicopter ride and went for a certified... More

Wonderful day out, met at Port Douglas Marina by staff who directed us to the correct boat. From there it's an hr and half journey to the Great Barrier Reef, I had booked a helmet dive and half hr before we arrived we had a meeting where they gave us a safety chat and discussed the equipment and how to... Can't fault quicksilver. Amazing setup with the pontoon out at sea. Lots of activities to choose from which u have to pay for understandably but worth every penny. Had dinner on there, submarine ride, no limits on amount of time in water snorkelling. Reef was a let down. After keeping marine tanks (fish and coral) was disappointed with corals. Fish... More

My, my what an experience. First class top rate operation for snorkeling and scuba diving on the great barrier reef. Pickup started at our hotel in Port Douglas, then to their facility to board the ship at the dock. It was an hour ferry ride to a huge platform anchored over the reef. You get off the ferry and get... More

My husband and I used Quicksilver to go to the great barrier reef. Not only were we picked up on time and taken to the port but they arranged for our luggage to be taken to our new hotel. They were easy to use and extremely professional. We also did the intro to scuba diving and felt extremely safe and... More
