The Kershaw Gardens at Rockhampton is located just off the Bruce highway at North Rockhampton. Turn off the highway into a parking area where there is plenty of parking available, plus on the day we visited, there was a mobile coffee van selling lunch in the carpark. What we saw of the park, was very impressive and we enjoyed the... More

Stunning gardens with quiet walks, lots of birdlife and flowing water. Looking good again after the cyclone damage of a couple of years ago

This garden was damaged in the 2015 cyclone. It is quite damaged. You walk around the path network and often come to a dead end. It would appear that the local council has no money.

Sad to see still so much of the park closed for so long due to storm damage. What is open is a nice short walk and filled in some time while we waited for friends to arrive from Mackay.

Beautiful , serene park in the heart of the city. Lots of different wildlife and lots of different trees and flowers. We enjoyed our peaceful walk through the park immensely. The fact that we saw only a couple of other people in the park added to the serenity of our walk. Probably a hidden jewel that not too many people... More

Lovely place to visit for a quiet time. Pity there weren't maps in all car parks so that you knew where to go. I wandered around for a while without seeing another person - surprising given the number of parked vehicles. It was only when driving out that I saw another car park with plenty of signage and realised how... More

A lovely walk with friends on many occasions. A beautifully kept parkland with many focal points. Nice shady spots, water attractions and a spectacular man made waterfall. Great for a good walk, a picnic with family and friends.

Lovely well kept gardens however work is still being done to fix the gardens after the cyclone, so there isn't as much open as normal. Still nice for a picnic

We walked around Kershaw Gardens a couple of weeks ago while we were staying in the city for a few days as part of our drive around Australia. The waterfalls are beautiful, the whole place has been recently reconstructed, some of it is still being worked on but there is still lots you can see and do and nice walking... More
