I grew up in Townsville and now live in Cairns, after riding our tropics world class trails and knowing how rocky and dusty Townsville is, I was a little reluctant on wasting my time riding the Douglas Mountain Bike trails, I was very surprised how...More

Douglas is ok if you haven't ridden anywhere else, the locals seem to trash the trails with their brakes and poor bike handling in berms and restoration. If you are looking for holiday destination rides I would suggest Cairns, Bright, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide and most...More

Fantastic trail network rivalling any in Australia. Great variety of trails from beginner to expert and a nice natural terrain. Trails open for 50 weeks a year as the rain season is rare. Avoid riding here if you are a road cyclist and have never...More

Great place to go riding on a mountain bike. Head up there every time I visit Townsville. I highly recommend that you go for a ride.

Great tracks, plenty of variety, plenty of different lines and great facilities. The older "hand made" tracks are still the favourite however the machine made tracks are still just as good. A must do if you live in Townsville!

there are no real flat tracks, we do have members who take their kids around in their wee rides on fruit loop, Thursdays and scrub pythons. unsure that a trailer wound be suitable or fit on single track.
