We visited Lake Paluma on a very cloudy day and was surrounded and in clouds for most of the climb up to the Lake. It was lovely to see the different scenery on route. When we got to the Lake it was beautiful and clear...More

Tent and small camper trailer sites available. Bookings are made online through Townsville City Council. No showers on site, eco toilets are well kept. Lovely camp grounds, bring firewood as all sites have firepits.

Paluma was a beautiful area to hang out and enjoy the great outdoors. Queensland is such a beautiful area, and the water's always refreshing.

Ideal spot to escape heat and camp in summer. Lot of wildlife and birds, listen for the cat birds' calls in the evening. Walking tracks continue over both dam walls. Talk to the rangers.

Loved visiting the lake, walking around the area and seeing the wildlife. We walked from the lake up to the lookout, through the Rock Gardens and down to Birthday Creek Falls. Stunning views, wildlife, flora and fauna.

Visited here on a chilly day but the location is excellent. Looks like a beautiful place for camping. BBQ facilities excellent as usual in Australia.

Not too far outside of Townsville, is this great spot to hike/walk through the rainforest. Kept our eyes open for cassowaries, but we weren't lucky enough to see any. Glad we got to experience this great location.
