Beautiful layout with avenues of different palms. Wallabies also and turtles. I was very impressed. Small but easy to walk around. There was plenty of shade.

We walked through lush rain forests with huge trees and beautiful lush ground cover. There were sections where you could sit peacefully. The Blackhawk crash memorial was a fitting tribute in this tranquil setting. It was well worth the visit.

Took a visitor to Townsville for a walk through on a warm day; really is a beautiful hidden secret of our city. Great collection of well established plants. Well recommended, good paths even for a rainy day!

Hubby and I wandered around the Palmetum, enjoying the palms and other plants. We saw turtles swimming in the water and skinks running over rocks in the sun, making for great photo opportunities. We also enjoyed a coffee in the cafe after our walk. A...More
