One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! Highly recommend making the bumpy trip in. Take insect spray with you, mozzies so bad in the fenced eating area near the carpark. No food or drink allowed at the waters edge due to dingos

Clear blue water, lots of people around, good for kids as water is very shallow for a far ways out. Nit much shade to be had. Y9u need to bring water and food, as there's nothing around. Accessible only by 4W drive, extremely dumpy drive in. Max speed 30K more like 10K[h.

It breaks my heart to see so many people crawling all over this pristine paradise, but I guess being a reviewer on TA myself I'm responsible for the promotion of such wonderful 'secrets'. So why should only I get to see these wonderful places. Lake McKenzie is hands down one of my top five places I've visited on this amazing... More

Beautiful freshwater lake with beautiful beach. Can get busy. Get there early but you must pay it a visit.

It's like Whitehaven lake instead of beach :-) It has the same magical sand. If you visit Fraser, please, don't skip a visit to the lake.

I can't wait to revisit this location again. It was beautiful, bit hard to park if u don't arrive early but other than that it is definitely just like the postcard.

One of the most beautiful places on Fraser Island. A must see. Can be accessed either with your own vehicle or a guided tour. I've done both. But recommend the guided tour.

As part of an island beauty spots tour organised by the Kingfisher Bay hotel we stopped at Lake McKenzie, which is a stunning freshwater and a great place to cool off from the hot summer heat. Our tour guide advised us to use the sand from the lake bed to exfoliate your skin and I must admit it never felt... More

Is a tourist hot spot so can be very busy. But worth a visit. No food can be taken down to the lake, but there are shady picnic spots in a fenced area. Enjoy our natural wonders.

A great place to relax when it's hot. Cool refreshing fresh water lake that is crystal clear. Try and get there before the tourist rush to fully appreciate this place.
