I really enjoy the atmosphere of the market, and you can always find great food. I think it must be one of the great food markets around (although I can't say I have been to many outside of Adelaide). I particularly like Coco's. They can be a bit more expensive, but you can always trust their quality.

This is a step back in time - a bustling local market which sells everything you could possibly need and a lot more besides. A must-see spot on any visit to Adelaide and a great place to find great food. I live in Adelaide and if you ask anyone here where you should take interstate or overseas visitors this is... More

What a fantastic display of South Australian produce. Worth the visit just to wander around and checkout the great food. Try the Mushroom Man for the Porcini or Truffle salt, Buy a dozen freshly shucked Coffin Bay Oysters to each fresh from the shell. Breakfast a Zuma Cafe for unique food combinations. A gastronomic delight and always worth a visit... More

Whenever I visit the Adelaide Central Market there are always new eateries to discover and fresh foods to buy. What better way to spend some time browsing the Asian grocery stores, the aisles of fresh food and time to sit down and enjoy a great coffee/tea whilst eating a snack or meal, watching the world go by. A GREAT destination... More

This was one of the best markets we have visited anywhere in the world. There was a vast selection of stalls. The market was clean and all the produce looked fresh and appetising. We started our tour with excellent coffee and egg custard tarts. We were very surprised to be offered generous samples of cooked meats and a selection of... More

Popped in looking for a breakfast venue. Quite quiet today (it's a Wednesday). Still lots of tasty fruit & veg on show. Worth visiting on full opening day
