So glad you had a great time paddling LittleDave49. The Port River estuary around the Garden Island area is suitable for all being very sheltered and has a lot of interesting elements for the more experienced too! Thanks for your comments.

Highly organised kayak hire - with lots of details about kayaking and the area for a great self guided tour. Once you're out on the kayaks you forget the wider industrial area and you're in a beautiful area with dolphins, birds, and mangroves.

Hi da5061 thanks for your comments...the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary hidden away in the greater Port River is a hidden treasure as you have found. So glad you enjoyed yourselves.

Thanks Geoff934 for letting all of us know just how good paddling in the Dolphin Sanctuary & Ships Graveyard is; we are so lucky in Adelaide to have such a beautiful and surprising wetland.

We took a 2.5 seater kayak so our 3 year old daughter could go with us. We all enjoyed ourselves along the Port River and down the mangro creeks.

We had a gift voucher for the dolphins family tour and managed to pick the best weather day possible. Unfortunately no dolphins which is apparently extremely rare but paddling in such a peaceful and stunning location was just beautiful that we didn’t even mind. Highly...More

Hi Lee-Ali thanks for your great review and sorry the dolphins were elsewhere in the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary on the day. From other reviews you can see it is rare not to see dolphins. The Sanctuary however is over 120 square Km....we see about 6...More

Hi we would be able to offer a transfer from Glenelg to the kayaking. After the kayaking we would drop you to the Pt Adelaide Train station where you could catch a train into Adelaide and then tram back to Glenelg
