About
An Underground church named after the Catacombs in Rome. A place of serenity where week by week we tell others the great news that Jesus still forgives sin for those who seek him.

Lovely fellowship of about 20 locals who have a real heart for their town. Also many tourists. Felt most welcomed and folk happy to converse and tell their stories.

This is a place to sit quietly and reflect on the many who have come to Coober Pedy to make and sometimes lose their fortunes.

We visited the Church whilst doing the bus tour of Coober Pedy , which I highly recommend. The whole Church was dug out with an opal mining machine.

Never thought I was the one to visit a chapel however this is the exception. Would suggest you leave a donation so we ensure this site continues as not only a place of worship by a tourist visit. Highly recommend, fabulous.

Very simple and welcoming. A lot of trust here to purchase goods for charity. The Altar was different and the feel of love was everywhere.

Found this church (Anglican) not as solemn as the St. Peter and Paul nor as big as the Serbian Orthodox but stopped here too as it was in the same direction when we wanted to drive to the Breakaways. Open 7 days 24 hours, free...More

We attended church here on the Sunday morning. They are a welcoming congregation used to travellers & put on morning tea halfway through the service. It’s also worth visiting if you’re not going to attend a service.

Loved visiting this underground church. We met a lady who looks after the church whilst there and was very appreciative of her time and knowledge of both the church and area.

This is another interesting church worth visiting while in Coober Pedy, if you have time to do so. Recommended

How about you advise them yourself. I only go to church when someone dies or gets married. Thank you
